November 8, 201114 yr I sent off a version of the following statement to our dear Oracle. She's answered me a couple times before; let's hope she does so again. "I was very excited to see the official lyrics posted on this site...until I realized there are many that are incorrect. Side A seemed more or less correct -- when the lyrics to Charlie Brown were given as "And a cartoon heart" rather than "Be a cartoon heart" (which is what Chris actually sings), I figured that he just deviated a bit from the official lyrics when the song was recorded. The side B lyrics are a mess, though. The entire last part of UFO is missing ("Bullets fly/Split the sky/But that's alright sometimes sunlight comes streaming through the holes), DLIBYH has a botched second chorus ("When you're tired of racing" is given twice, when the second time should actually be "When you're tired of aiming your arrows"). I'm sure there are other lyrics and songs that are incorrect as well. Any chance on getting everything corrected?"

November 8, 201114 yr I'm sure this is what's happening....these are the 'official' lyrics, which Chris probably submitted. However, when singing, he makes little mistakes. I'm sure during live performances, there will be other little word switches. And, I, too, don't get the drunkin Daniel line. I understand the gist of what he's saying but his word usage is whacked,. I think this line works perfectly. I don't understand why people look for grammatical sense in lyrics. Lyrics are basically poetry and I don't see why they HAVE to work grammatically. This line works very well through suggestive imagery juxtaposed directly, without any kind of punctuation. There's "drunken hazard" and "daniel in a lion's den" placed together which combine to create a very interesting and suggestive image. There are a lot of lines in coldplay lyrics that don't make sense grammatically, but this doesn't mean that there is no meaning there. There definitely is meaning, it's just not straightforward. That doesn't make it a bad line.

Also in princess of china is rihanna really singing "we burned bright" because I keep hearing "we were burnin' bright". I wish i knew
