Hey, idk if this has been suggested already, but you should listen to The Antlers' first album, called Hospice. It's the story of a girl admitted in the hospice, on the verge of dying, and a guy who works there, accompanying her through it (he's actually the lead singer Peter Silberman).

Listen to it in the normal order, no shuffle, and I can guarantee you will be bawling your eyes off before the album is over.

We suggested the exact same thing :awesome:

Hahaha you don't need to, I guess, but if this doesn't make you feel all gloomy and sensitive, then idk what would ;)

Have you listened to it already?

I love it! Thank you so much!

Oh nice, I am very glad to hear!

Gotye- Someone That I Used To Know.

sad, you can hear the desperation in both voices.

THANK YOU for posting that, I really really like it (and just bought it)!

Bump!...so I can post what I consider to be one of the saddest (more like depressing!) songs ever. I was listening to it today and remembered this ol' thread.

That is really sad! I saw it today and the video alone made me like:sad:

But I love it. Takes a truley great song to make you feel something like that.

There is a version of Strange News From Another Star by Blur that moves me to tears.

And a song that lyrically gets me is Tommy C by Le Sac and Pip. Just the "one fucking thing" line, and I well up.

Would classical music be acceptable to post in this thread?

Honestly, Mozart makes me want to fall asleep. The only thing I even really like of his is the Requiem, and he didn't even write all of it.

Ignoring the annoyance of deciding amongst personal favorites (bunch of radiohead songs, half of sigur ros' oeuvre) I'll just post what most don't already know.

A musician my friend danimal introduced me too (couldn't find it without the overdubs) On one-hand almost nauseatingly sentimental to where I want to scoff at it, but still, every time I hear even one line, its like the life gets sucked out of me. Danimal used to play the riff on his guitar throughout the day just to mess with me.
