I love Lion - full screen apps, multi-touch gestures, mission control, launchpad, nothing essential but it's really nice.

I don't know why but I didn't really like it, I didn't like how they had tried to copy a few things from iOS and that scrolling was kind of messed up, I'm sure you can change things though, but I'm going to get a new MBP when the new model line comes out next year so I will just leave Snow Leopard on this one.

Which macbook's do you all have as in spec and size wise? Does anyone have the air?

I have a white Macbook that got in July 2009 with a 13" screen. They discontinued this computer after they came out with the MacBook Air. It's running 10.5.8 Leopard OS. I really should upgrade to Snow Leopard. :/ I wanted to upgrade to Lion, but apparently it would max out my RAM just to run it (I have just 2 gigs of RAM). So Leopard or Snow Leopard it is for me until I get a new computer!

Have the 13" MacBook Pro running OS X Lion since last august. Up to now I only have good experiences with it.

You can indeed deactivate the reverse scrolling thing ;) I have to say I actually really like it too. It surprisingly felt very natural.

I have the 13" MacBook unibody, but it is not Pro. It's a rare model, but it doesn't have FireWire and, kind of obviously, the specs aren't as good as the Pro one :(

I love Lion! I downloaded minutes after it was released.

That was a bad idea.

Same here! And it lasted 3 hours!

I have the 2007 2.4GHz one, I had a 2009 one too but sold it to buy a bike, and got this one back :P I couldn't go back to a PC, and anyway, Macintosh computers run windows just fine through boot camp, hell if you wanted you could even run it natively, it's a different story on PC's (trust me I've tried). I just find the windows OS a massive pain to use, and the applications OS X offers are unrivalled IMO. But like I say, if you need to play games, whack a windows partition on and boom, your mac is better than most windows computers running windows :P

I have the 2011 13" MacBook Pro unibody, 2.4GHz. It's quite nice.

15" MacBook Pro Late 2011, 2,2GHz Quad-Core i7 and 750GB HDD with 7200 rpm, works like a dream!

Not really. The bigger PC games - Battlefield 3, MW3, Crysis, etc. - don't run on Mac. Mac's aren't built for gaming but will still do good on most.

I recently bought GTA San Andreas on Mac, it was a huge disappointment. It freezes all the time. Mac really isn't for gaming (Football Manager works great though)

No way, only when the publisher decides to port them, and these ventures usually aren't that profitable unless the game is wildly popular on other platforms

Those are the only games I ever really played though. I'm a dork. :laugh3:

Well that's not because of the Mac but because of a huge bug in GTA San Andreas!

If you read benchmark scores on computers, you will see that the MacBook Pro scores a lot better than almost all it's competitors.

Depends what you want for your computer, to fit your needs. If you are more comfortable with using Windows/PC`s, then you should probably stay to using those. If you are only using for internet/message systems, then the Macbook Pro is a good long running piece of technology. PCs can get slow over time if they have low hard drive/RAM and aren't frequently updated. If you want to be able to play online/CD games, I would suggest PC. Not to mention, their cost is a lot cheaper. Even customized Alienware`s can be cheaper than a Mac computer.

I've got a 15" Macbook Pro, and I'm loving it! :D

I'm a film student right now, so it's really helpful with editing as well...
