  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

Ohhhhh.

I think she may be around your age, actually.

Jesus fangirls calm down. Muse are not that great. In real world their albums are perceived as rather weak. Between 6-7/10 would be accurate for their best OOS, since then they are recycling the same old shit and Resistance is real piece of turd and just for people without any taste for music. All Coldplays albums are better than that. New Coldplays album could attack position of TR though.

Im afraid to write that TR is worse than any Coldplays album so far is rather keeping touch with reality than trolling.

What a cute little troll!

:disappointed:

Still 14 ;~;

Really? I might say that it's close for me except for Chris's voice. . . it's so nasaly. :bigcry:

And the lack of awesome bass/guitar riffs in VLV

Cemeteries of London and Strawberry Swing are the only 2 songs I still like off Viva. I still like the entire second half of The Resistance.

Out of VLV, to be honest I don't really listen to any songs anymore. . . I think that's because I overplayed them though haha. I do enjoy listening to LiT though.

The only song I don't really enjoy from TR anymore is Undisclosed. The rest I can't listen to enough

o/t but wow my lab results are totally accurate and precise

(this is water density ahuehue)

The only song off of VLV that hasn't ever appealed to me is probably 42. TR just seems extremely cheesy in comparison, especially lyrically. But I will say that is probably has nicer melodies... maybe I'm just biased to VLV because of sentimental reasons and I'm not as exposed to some of those songs on the radio as much as Uprising, Undisclosed Desires, and Resistance are. Sure Viva La Vida got HEAVY radio play for a while and I let go of that one, maybe Violet Hill too, but they came back to me a lot better than Resistance or UD are.

Muse is much more talented than Coldplay though.

It's the opposite for me, Coldplay's music gets. . .old. I never feel the need to go back and listen to one of their albums (except for Parachutes )

I guess it's all personal opinion though. :nice:

I seem to live in the only area where Lovers in Japan got EXTREMELY whored out on the radio, which is weird because a lot of singles never even make it on the radio here. That was the biggest victim of overexposure on the album for me. The only two songs I outright hate are 42 and Yes, but I'm still lukewarm on a lot of the rest.

Like I've said time and again about The Resistance, the first 5 songs on the album are cheesy as hell and range from average to outright bad. Then the album hits Unnatural Selection and suddenly becomes awesome the rest of the way through.

I personally like GL but quality wise it's not that good and cheesy as hell. :dazzled:

Guiding Light was really bad too.

Right, it's one of the 5 "average or worse" songs I mentioned. Guiding Light in particular is their worst non-B-side ever (though I really hate "Overdue" on Showbiz).

You never had to sit through it live. I had to suffer through it at half my shows. (B&H directly into Guiding Light was the biggest buzzkill ever.)

One of the shows I went to had a 4-song streak that went like this:

Map of the Problematique > Butterflies & Hurricanes > Guiding Light > Citizen Erased

Now tell me, which of those 4 songs sticks out like a sore thumb?

Natt, I just checked Metacritic. VLV and Resistance both score a 72. So it's really not better acclaimed critically. :laugh3:

On both Q and NME-- the only 2 critics I really follow-- VLV was given higher scores that Resistance. I was going off them

Am I right in thinking that's from an anime about the really troublesome cat with a really high, squeaky voice? I recognise it for some reason

IDK, I need a clue.

Seriously, how can Muse manage to get setlist goofs like that?

I bought my first-ever Muse poster ust now at my university's poster sale. :cheesy:

Never got that poster because I like several others better, but at least your school is cool enough to actually sell Muse posters.

I picked up a Radiohead poster the last time our school had a sale, but that was the only remotely cool thing they had.

That was the only one they had. I'm perfectly happy with it, though. :dazzled:

They also had a Flo one, and if I had the money, I would've bought that, too.

Where are you all? :bigcry:

Anyways, Breaking Dawn soundtrack announcement tomorrow. Let's PRAY Muse have escaped it this time. :bigcry:

Apparently they have a new song on it called "Too Late".

Don't know how true this is though because it's from Tumblr. :P
