  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

^^ ~points up~

Hehe, yeh sorry, i only noticed that Fifi had already posted it until after i made that post :embarassed:

Thank you so much !

Shine. such an awesome song.

question .. what do people prefer, the acoustic or just shine?

i'm thinking back to listening them and can't remember a huge difference. will have to listen to them tonight ...

I think they are very very different.

A. The first ver. is really more energic, sounds like a reproach, whereas there's a sort of regret in Shine Acoustic.

B. Some little differences between the lyrics : you know, in "Shine" he says "I believed that you'd always be here", which makes it seem more nostalgic than "Shine Acoustic"'s "We believe that you'll always be here"...

Anyway I see them as two complete different songs. And I love both, of course.

I prefer the normal version but I do like the end of the acoustic version when it sounds like rain

Yeah this rain effect is wonderful, and long. And at the very end, if you pump up the volume, you can hear a strong thunderburst...

Not long till Muse in Brum

Leed Festival was amazing, even tho it absolutly pissed it down it was great!

Thank you so much for Shine, fifi! *smile* :)

Love it ... on of my fav moments of the dvd

finally went to the muse forum yesterday, luckily there was one working link and so I managed to download that Hoodoo orchestra version and you're right, it IS wonderful

wonder which song he'll do next..

i miss this thread :(

how are all my muse buddies goinnngg? :nice:

Wow ! Same ending that on "Kangaroo Blues" !

My question is : where the hell did he get it ?

Linnea, are you a fucking fond kickass Citizen Erased fan like me ?

Anyway you're right - I think Absolution Tour DVD is a joke : why put one hour of a longer concert ? It's unbelievable. What's more, there clearly was room for all the songs, even if you take off some bonuses.

guess I'll have to reveal my ignorance again when it comes to music :embarassed: Kangaroo Blues? I'd love to hear that, where I can find it?

I was definitely noticing the intro of 'Take a Bow' there in the end..

and haha yes I am a fucking fond kickass Citizen Erased fan, been ever since I first listened to OoS. If I had to pick my favourite song from the album that would be it

And it sure is weird to make a concert DVD that lasts an hour, when the actual concert was longer than that.. why leave out songs, when there's room for all of them. strange..

Kangaroo Blues is a live CD released in Australia (I bought it as an Import, and I think it's everything but official, but it didn't cost much...).

It features Muse live performance at Sydney's Big Day Out January 24th 2004, and a slice of Muse live in Cardiff 01.12.2003 (including Citizen Erased followed by something titled "Piano Interlude", which is definitely the Take A Bow intro.)

I'll upload it it if you want me to.

I think I have Muse's performance at Big Day Out in 2004 (I'm not at home at the moment so I can't check but if I remember rightly I've downloaded that from the multimedia section, I think Dave uploaded it some time ago) but I doubt it has that Cardiff bit.. so it'd be great if you could upload it :)

Hi guys i found this awsome quotes hope you like :

A selection of stuff from old Melody Makers:

"one time I was supposed to do a festival in Exeter on my own and I couldn't do it, because I had a fear that Dom or Chris would come into the audience and realise that I wasn't very good and not want me in the band anymore!"

(asked about getting into trouble)

"Many time. I've got into a couple of fights this week. I always know i'll lose, but that's what eggs me on for some reason. Once was when someone threw some beer over me at the Elle Style Awards. Another time I went into a pizza place near Leicester Square and it was closing, so the woman gave me some pizza for free, but then the bouncer just grabbed me and threw me down the stairs. I was really fucked off with that beacause it hurt! So I got the whole pizza and threw it into the resteraunt and then ran a mile. I think that's a real blue hair thing - people thinking, 'who the fuck does he think he is?'"

:D ------ > "I think i'm crap. I'm a crap guitar player. I'm really not very good. And i thought I was a good singer until I met Coldplay. That guy's got a real voice. He can sing ."

Aww, great quotes
