October 23, 200916 yr Imke, I'll have a seat but this time it won't be numbered. As a result, I'll have to be over there as soon as possible to get good seats near the stage.
October 23, 200916 yr Oh, well I wish you luck with getting good seats. :nice: I'm in the pit and I hope I can make it to the front, I'm not so sure though.

October 24, 200916 yr Overture as an opener, huh? That's actually...a fantastic idea. Thanks for the setlist!
October 24, 200916 yr You're welcome. I thought it was a great idea too. :nice: I'd actually love it, if they played the whole symphony at the beginning.
October 25, 200916 yr Encore Stockholm Syndrome Knights of Cydonia Epic? it still feels as though the shows are a little........short. i was hoping by the time they toured for their 5th album they would be doing 24/25 song sets or at least 20 songs with long improvs. but it doesnt seem like much has changed from their last tour. maybe they're just getting warmed up.

October 25, 200916 yr If they take away Starlight until tomorrow, I'll cry. Or no I won't, heh, but it will be an huge disappointment. The only thing I'm really missing would be "Butterflies and Hurricanes".
October 25, 200916 yr Well, I'd really cry if they don't play Starlight. :shy: I wonder why they changed it today ... I'd really like to see Bliss, Butterflies & Hurricanes, The Small Print and I belong to you ... but I'm actually okay with the setlist as it is ... they could add a little more songs though.
October 25, 200916 yr There seems to be a fair bit of variation between setlists... maybe they're just trying to keep it interesting for them or something? Anyway, I'm really glad I'll be seeing them at BDO and (hopefully) for their resistance tour, so hopefully I'll be able to hear all the songs I want to hear live between those shows :D Their stage set up is seriously impressive, can't wait to finally see them play!

Arctic Monkeys scooped the best live act award, following a battle with U2, Blur and Take That among others, while indie rockers Kasabian took home the prize for best album for "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum". "Q remains proud of the fact that its awards recognising musical achievement and excellence during the past 12 months are decided by the nation's music fans, who once again have voted in their thousands," said the magazine's editor-in-chief Paul Rees. "We are equally delighted to honour the enduring influence of those artists who have shaped our musical landscape and continue to do so." Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, won the classic songwriter award, Edwyn Collins was named "Q legend", Spandau Ballet became the latest "Q idol" and Marianne Faithful was named "Q icon".
