  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

^If you like it, enjoy it. Screw what everyone else thinks. I got into them when NO ONE else around here had a clue who they were. I had to pester the staff at the record store for some of their albums- there just wasn't enough demand to keep it in stock. Doesn't mean that I'm going to stop liking them just because they're on the discount racks now.

+1000

I've uploaded a video I took in Hamburg tonight.

Enjoy! :)

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vknKjvcwfSg]YouTube - Muse, Soaked (New song)[/ame]

^^ More new stuff!! I love it, very pretty song. Got a rather USoE riff in there too..

Apparently Adam Lambert is going to have a cover of that song on his new album

Lyrics:

Soaked to the bone

And sink like a stone

Walk home alone

It’s not the first time

It’s not the worst crime

Your soul will be OK

When you’ve had enough searching for love

And you miss the touch

Of someone new

Burned by your dreams

It's never how it seems

Cold crushed esteem

Take shelter and hide forever

Your soul will be OK

When you’ve had enough

Searching for love

But you miss the touch

Of someone new

I’ve had enough

Searching for love

But I miss the touch

Of someone new

Soaked to the bone

Sink like a stone

I will take you home

Its not the first time

It’s not the worst crime

Our souls will be OK

Well said. Thanks.

Not true fans...

Hi everyone. :nice:

I'm back from Hamburg and I've got some pics and stories for you. :wacky:

Sorry for the quality of the pics ... I only had my crappy mobile and my old digicam.

I had an amazing time ... :awesome: The guys are perfect live ... and by perfect I really mean perfect.

I made it to second row ... but that changed quite a few times, because the crowd was pushing so badly ... incredible. It was like waves going through the audience and at times the only thing I could move was my head. :laugh3:

So ... I couldn't take that many pics, because during certain songs it was simply impossible to even think about taking a pic. :D No videos either ... the security guys in front of me stopped everyone who tried to take videos. :\

The Colorline Arena:

The weather sucked ... as you can see.

Before the show ... the pillars still cloaked:

I'm so sorry for the quality ... I should really get a new camera.

Matt had some problems with his mic during Unnatural Selection, so a roadie had to bring him another one ... only he forgot about it during the guitar solos and kept on singing into the wrong mic, then he noticed it and wandered with a little smile to the other mic. After Unnatural Selection Matt threw his mic into the crowd ... you would think he'd throw away the broken one, but he threw the working one instead and when the lights went out before the encore a roadie suddenly "emerged" in front of us with a flashlight looking for the mic. Everyone was trying to point into the direction the mic went ... but he didn't find it.

After the show I heard some guy saying that he and another guy both caught the mic, but that the other one was hit by it on the head and started to bleed pretty badly ... :stunned:

Like I said ... it was amazing. I'm broke but happy that I decided to go after all. :awesome:

Yay Imke ! I guess I won't be disappointed on sunday

Wow that's insane! A mic is pretty heavy, I don't understand what happened in Matt's head :P

How long is the show ? And how many songs do they play ? Do you have the setlist ?

So you and Anna have the tickets?

Someone said he threw his guitar into the audience once ...

I'd say they played approximately 100min and 18 songs.

Yay !! I got them yesterday and was looking for some since one week only :P

Yeah I heard that ! But some guys from the staff came to take it back haha

Thank you ! Wow that's even less than Coldplay ! But I don't care, I love all those songs !

I'm crossing my fingers to hear Cave  And if only they could play Bliss :wacky:

Where were you seating ?

Yay! That's great. I'm so happy for you. :nice:

They played Cave at almost every concert so far ... but I wouldn't count on Bliss. :disappointed:

I was in the pit, second row. :wacky:

I'm so glad you had a great time! I'm sure they are PERFECT live!:awesome: (Matt's pants ), You made it to 2nd fawking row! Gratz!:awesome: I'd die to see a pioc of Matt smiling when he noticed he was singing in the wrong mic! :bomb:.

Poor guy (the one who was bleeding) he didn't even catch the mic :P. So happy they played Cave and PIB!

Sooooooooo happy you had fun Ekmi!

^^Imke- Jealous. ;) Glad you had a good time. :D

Random Muse thought for the day-

I had my mp3 player hooked up to the stereo today and it was on an all-Muse shuffle (5 albums + Dead Star EP). Not only that, but the best mix of Muse songs I think I had ever heard.

And then I noticed that it wasn't on shuffle, it was going through the songs alphabetically. I made it past 'H'. It took me until well after the "D"s to notice.

Try it. It's frighteningly good how well the songs fit together that way- a nice combination of albums and styles.

[/random]

Wow, great pics Imke ! Glad you had a good time!

Haha, I cant believe he threw a mic to the crowd !

Thanks guys.

If I only I had bought tickets to more concerts. :P

Imke, so glad you had a great time and your pics look great! I know what you mean about wishing you had bought tickets to more shows... I always feel that way after seeing a great performance. It's like, "that was fantastic!!! Let's do it again!!! and again!!"

So true ! And some people don't understand why you go to see the same show again :P

Yay! That's great. I'm so happy for you. :nice:

They played Cave at almost every concert so far ... but I wouldn't count on Bliss. :disappointed:

I was in the pit, second row. :wacky:

Yay ! I'm so in love with this song recently :wacky: This week I'm having an intensive listening of Muse, must know all the songs before the show ^_^

Wow niiiice spot ! At what time did you get at the venue ? I have 2 seating tickets and one in the pit, must choose where I'll be :uhoh:

I was there shortly before 3pm ... I wanted to go earlier, but the weather sucked so much. :disappointed:

@Jen: Thanks! :hug:

Yeah ... I could do it again and again and again ... I find concerts highly addictive these days.

That sounds very good ! Yep weather sucks here as well :dozey:

Yes, guess who made us turn into concert addicts ?

yeah im completely with you guys. i didnt feel it so much after my first concert where i had a seat but after my first pit experience (@the killers) i found it incredibly addictive. i walked away thinking i wish i could do this every night. sadly finances and uni life always gets in the way otherwise i would be rocking out at a gig every weekend.

is Uprising the best song to open with? i cant think of any alternatives right now but it doesnt seem like the best one.

On the HAARP DVD they opened with Knights of Cydonia, it was truly epic (and I wasn't even there!) So I'd say that's probably a better opener. It's also a great closer, though.

I've only been to two concerts, one sitting and one standing, and both times I've walked away just wishing I could do it again, every night!

According to the following review, the concert at CoLinA wasn't even half full :(
