This is the third day in a row I've been woken up by a Matt or Chris tweet sent to my phone. Been well worth it. The only tweets I get sent to my phone are Muse, Matt, and Chris.

 

Though the one just now about Reading/Leeds getting OOS IN FULL made me super-depressed that I'm halfway around the world.

 

I will have this issue I'd imagine some time this evening. But I do not care. /dedicationtothecause

 

Oh man. :( Everyone is saying how unfair it is that they're being so dismissive of Lolla. I'm in the same country... But I'm waiting on my internship to know whether I can go or not. I may find that I'm still in Brighton working at a Cancer lab on the Friday/Monday either side which makes logistics a nightmare for Reading. :\

In fact...

 

MICHAEL'S GUIDE TO GETTING A WOLSTENTWEET:

 

 

1) If your phone has any ability to receive tweets as texts, set Chris's tweets to be sent to your phone. This will alert you whenever he's online (he generally stays on for up to an hour).

 

2) Ask reasonable questions. Do NOT ask about anything to do with a setlist. I've never seen him answer a single one of these.

 

3) A knowledge of football/soccer helps. Just make sure you call it "football" and not "soccer". Call it "soccer" and you'll get a response, but it won't be a nice one. And you don't want the beast mad at you. ;)

 

4) Asking him about his kids seems to work well, just as long as it's not TOO personal.

 

5) Chris enjoys a good joke every now and then, but you need to be very witty in your approach. Don't rely on jokes, but if you have a witty response to one of his tweets, go for it.

 

6) If you're REALLY desperate, annoy him about getting a shout-out to you or your country. Playing the pity card works well too ("aww wolstie will never tweet me i iz sad panda"). My honest opinion? Tweeting these makes you look incredibly lame and makes you sound like an insecure attention-seeking phony. Getting a REAL response to a question/comment is much more rewarding.

 

7) Don't annoy him with the same question over and over again if your first question doesn't get answered. Be creative. Spice it up.

 

8) Luck and persistence. Chris gets so many tweets sent to him at once that he can't possibly see them all, much less respond. If something catches his attention, he might tweet you back! :)
