My poems...

I wrote this one a few months ago. I had forgotten all about it until now...

Calendars

Seconds turns into minutes.

It's there but I can't quite reach it.

Minutes turns into hours.

I walk in a room full of calendars.

How fun it is walking past the days.

Not a single day that I see you will go to waste.

Into an unseen tomorrow, we go.

There will be no more sorrow.

Hours turn into days.

Why let a single one go to waste?

All you need to do is wipe off that tear.

You've been crying over your pain since last year,

I don't need a time machine.

What does "time travel" even mean?

Days turn into years.

Forget the past. There's nothing to fear.

Years are printed onto calendars.

It isn't enough for just one hour.

What does it mean?

What does it mean?

I'm trying to make my time with a friend worth it.

Okay, so I'll need a second opinion on this...

Tomorrow I'll be digging through the notebooks and loose-leafs of every single finished piece of poetry and "lyrics" that I've ever wrote and will type them up in Word. There's a lot of typing to do over the course of the next few months for me and I'm debating whether or not I want to post them in this thread or to create an entirely new thread for my collection.

With that being said, I'm going to send some over to publishers soon, so yeah...

Let me know what you Coldplayers think. :nice:

I like it. It is orriginal and it makes me think about it, figure out what you are (really) saying. Thanks!

Don't hold back and send it to the publishers if that is your aim.

And publish anyway on your own if they can't / will not help you out.

If you want to share it here with us, yw! I think a new thread is not nescessary. It wil do just fine here.

We should compile a Coldplaying poetry pamphlet.

Hm... I guess I'll just post them here in spoilers so that the posts won't be too long. :P The majority of my early poems sound a bit silly, but still... I like what I write. Hahah

That actually sounds amazing. :surprised:

Like, what if different Coldplayers write a poem of their own and mail it to one person to compile it all into a pamphlet or a journal? There could be an electronic and and physical copy of each one, if you know what I mean. :P

Thanks for the inputs! :nice: Don't hold back if you have any more ideas to share.

Texas Rez, is that your All Poetry account? I'm a bit confused with the replies. I'll check the poems you've got there, my nick is The Escapist. It's cool if you decided to publish, go for it! :)
