i know he came here to mobile like erm.. a couple of weeks ago and showed up an hour late and only played for 30 mins and the tics were 30 bucks each and i saw coldplay for 30 bucks a ticket and they played for 1 hour adn 20 mins and elton john was there! comapare the two and tell me the better deal.....wait! i shouldnt compare...rap trash sould not be compared to talented bands!

coldplay is worth anything of course...but he totally ripped off all those people! so not worth anything!!!

I just listened to the whole album again.

 

This album was spectacular. it was awesome. Now, a little removed from its release, I really view this as a shot int he arm to a whole genre of music that I think is losing it's identity.

 

There's a lot of good stuff ging on in music, but Rock is kind of losing an identity with some bands driftnig towards pop (RHCP), others bringing in influences that make great music but are not really consistent with traditional rock (Linkin Park, Limp), and others going a little bit too metal.

 

Basically, I need something the bridges the gap between RHCP and Metallica. I love Pearl Jam, and that's basically the band that does it for me, but not too many people talk about them anymore. Audioslave steps right into that slot, and it's nice to see somebody turning the clock becak 7-10 years and going back to the music I grew up with.

 

I think every song on this album is at worst average, and there are seven songs on the album with I really, really like:

 

Show Me How to Live

Like a Stone

Set It Off

I Am the Highway

Bring Em Back Alive

Light My Way

Getaway Car

 

I just really liked Audioslave.

This band was just on the new music, and the guitarist the one with all the tattoos was talking about how bands with green mohawks and tatoos have something to hide.. umm, didn't/doesn't he have that?

"Like a Stone" is also one of my favourites.

I like their new song. Think I should check the rest of the album then.
