Ok.

You never gonna believe this but:

A famous Belgian is related to a woman who is related to a woman who has created something that is related to a Coldplay song.

As the other famous Belgian says:

You will have to use the little grey cells. [emoji1]

Great, now at least we can exclude Hercule Poirot :D

Honestly I don't even know where to start. Have looked up some famous Belgians but all dead ends so far. The fact that this Belgian is not once, but twice removed from a thing related to a Coldplay song makes it particularly difficult.

maybe we can narrow it down this way:

@Nie, is "related" here meaning in a family sense or just that these people have something to do with each other? this was tripping me up in the Poirot riddle until i realized it didn't have to mean related by blood/marriage :P

Don't look to far. [emoji4]

"The other" = who we know by now.

Oh, and the Pope has nothing to do with it. [emoji14]

Now I see your question...

They are not family in blood and not married. But they know each other very well [emoji6]

No.

Extra clue:

Not fiction

Did this person create something more visual or musical?

Did this person create something more visual or musical?

I'm not sure which person you are referring to.

Is it Pilar Zeta?

We are looking for a song.

You will have to start from the beginning and give me all the names and reasonings. :p

A famous Belgian is related to a woman who is related to a woman who has created something that is related to a Coldplay song.

I will help you on the way with Person 1:

A famous Belgian = Person 1

- As the other famous Belgian says: You will have to use the little grey cells

(Find out who that quote is from and find the other one)

- "The other" = who we know by now --> you can find the answer "a few" pages ago

- not fiction

Person 1 is related to a woman = Person 2

Person 2 is related to an other woman = Person 3 who has created "something".

That "something" is related to a Coldplay song = ?

So, give me the answers for:

Person 1

Person 2

Person 3

and ?

Related = in a way that they are not family in blood and are not married, but know each other very well. :)

(Wikipedia can be useful)

I think I know who the famous Belgian is !

It must be Nie...famous for making unsolvable riddles :D

No seriously, I know that quote is from Poirot. Are you referring to Simenon who we had as a famous Belgian a few pages ago ? I already read up on him but I didn't find anything useful....

Yes!

The famous Belgian is Georges Simenon!

Now have a look at the women in his life.

Extra tip: she is famous too.

Aaaargh, I already read about him. Do you know he claims he had 10.000 lovers in his life ? I hope we don't have to go through all of them ;)

I even read up already about his affair with Josephine Baker, but I didn't find any connection from Josephine Baker to another woman back then. I now read it again more carefully, and she had a relationship with Frida Kahlo ?! Viva La Vida ?

YES! You have found it.

Georges Simenon -> Josephine Baker -> Frida Kahlo -> Viva La Vida

I stumbled upon that when I was trying to solve the Poirot riddle but mistakenly started out from Georges Simenon. [emoji4]

Oh and "Baker" -> made me think of "Bakery"

YES! You have found it.

Georges Simenon -> Josephine Baker -> Frida Kahlo -> Viva La Vida

OMG, I would never have thought this riddle actually has a solution and that I'd find it :D

And thanks to you I like Simenon somewhat less now, after I read he boasted about having had 10.000 lovers since the age of 13... :inquisitive:

Now let me think of a new one :devilish:

Alright !

The lyrics of a popular version of a song that originated from the country that Coldplay visited for the first time in the current tour contradict a common theme in Coldplay songs, but also have a few lines that are very similar to a Coldplay song; find that song please.

The country is Peru.

El condor pasa is a famous Peruvian song and covered by Simon and Garfunkel.

The lyrics have these lines:

I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail

Yes I would, if I could, I surely would

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail

Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would

I'd rather be a forest than a street

Yes, I would If I could I surely would

I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet

Yes, I would If I only could I surely would

You said "a few lines" so my guess is:

Moses

(And oh, oh yes I would

If I only could

And you know I would)

The other lines make me think of

ETIAW

( I'd rather be a comma than a full stop)

Wow, that was quick ! Yes to everything except the line that contradicts a common theme in Coldplay songs was "I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet", which I thought sounds like the opposite of the Coldplay theme of feet not touching the ground.

Your turn again :D

I was just editing my answer with those lines. [emoji4]

And I was lucky to have bumped at the right song immediately.

Let me dig up one I had already ready. [emoji14]

As you know Up&Up has a lot of guest performers...

There is an other one where 1 of those performers is featuring too, but not as a singer (that I know of).

Give me the song (and the reasoning).

No.

And that person is really participating.

And off course not a band member, not even the 5th. [emoji4]
