Gig in Paris at the Nouveau Casino - 28/02/2013 - Review

HAY GUYS! :cheesy:

I came back home this afternoon from my trip to Paris to see Kodaline! It was so AMAZING i have so many things to tell you ican't even (prepare for a long review  )

First of all, I have no pic or video from that night, because I'm silly and i forgot to take my camera, and the battery of my phone was too low to allow me to take pictures.

The ticket indicated the show was due to start at 8pm, but the venue said on its website it was starting at 7.30pm. My brother told me they meant that the venue probably wouldn't open until 7.30. Anyway, i arrived there at about 6.45(pm, i mean they're grand but they're not as big as Coldplay yet haha). No one was there, the door was closed, there wasn't even a guard in front of it. I figured my brother was right and I should just go eat at one of the 1000s bistrots in the area (i swear 3/4 of the businesses there were bars and restaurants  ). Just as I was going to one of them, I heard a girl talking in English with a French accent, to 2 English girls (when i say English i mean it's their native language, somehow i didn't decipher where they were from, maybe Ireland I guess). They seemed to have come for the gig too, so I asked them, they said yes, and I asked how did they know the band. We were heading towards a bistrot. A girl answered: "See this girl over there ? She's the guitarist's cousin" Me: OHMYGOOODDDDD :laugh3: Then i lost sight of them :disappointed:

I sat to get something to eat. Checked Twitter and saw Ellen's RT for me: the band had just arrived at the venue! I thought it hadn't opened yet! I kinda panicked and ordered quickly. I had never eaten a tiramisu so fast in my life hahaha

So I went back to the venue (30 secs from there). I directly went to the door, tried to open. Someone opened it from inside, and asked: "And you are ?" Turned out the venue really opened to the public only at 7.30

So I had to wait outside. I noticed small groups of people arriving. There was a group formed by 3 girls (who must have been ~17 i'm guessing) and a boy (omg that boy. Sorry but I swear he's a French look-alike of James Franco or something. The same. But younger. I guessed he had a girlfriend because how could he not be taken, so i let it go haha). A mother of one of them was waiting with them too, but i didn't see her inside the venue, so i guess she was just chaperoning them before the concert. Anyway, those girls were total groupies except that they didn't know the band well, which made them annoying :cheesy: You'll understand that in 2 secs.

A few minutes later, guess who we saw coming out of the venue and going straight to a bar across the street ? THE BAND THAT'S RIGHT. ALL OF THEM. My face: :shocked3: And the girls next to me: "I think that may be the guitarist, or one of the band, idk, did he look Irish to you ?" Aaand that's when I got annoyed :cheesy: I told them who was who and they thanked me and got back to their conversation.

And then suddenly, out of nowhere, minutes later again, i noticed STEVE was right in front of us, smoking a cigarette, like, 5-10 meters away. (For the ones following me on Twitter, that's when i freaked out  ) Before my brain got the time to make my legs move and run to him, a man joined him. He looked in his 40s and i couldn't hear much but i'm pretty sure he's Irish and accompanying the band, maybe a manager or someone like that ? (he wasn't a roadie). And eventually someone else joined their conversation. That guy was from a group of people i thought were going to attend, but i later figured out they worked for the venue or something like that.

Eventually the security guard installed barriers, but there were only 2 and it wasn't clear as to which side we were supposed to get into. So i just stayed at the end of the barrier, not in but not out. Perfect strategy: towards 7.30, the guard said we could enter. I was the first to hear him so I was the first to get inside the venue :D After going through the long corridor, I got checked again by security. Then entered the room.

The venue is a small bar/night club (maximum capacity: 400 :wideeyed: can you imagine Coldplay playing here :wideeyed: ) I left my coat at the cloakroom located on the left. The bar is also on the left. Then at the back (from where i was standing) there's the stage, and on the right side there are a few tables and chairs. At the left of the stage, a couple of steps lead to the stage level and then a door to the backstage area.(this is helpful detail for later). Behind me, stairs lead to the Merchandise/sound system area. Sadly I didn't have much cash on me and the venue didn't take credit cards (Everyone takes CB in Paris!, mom said...ya right  )

Since no one was there yet, i went straight in front of the stage, at the center. Per-fect-view. :wideeyed: And then i just stared at the beauty of it all :wideeyed:

A few minutes later, I noticed a guy on my left..he was heading towards the stairs leading to the stage....I had just seen him earlier....THAT WAS STEVE! THE GORGEOUS STEVE! FROM KODALINE! STEVE HIMSELF! This time I wouldn't let my chance go, i didn't care what people thought of me (they looked at me like i was cray). I said:"Hey Steve! I'm a big fan!" He was a few meters from me and there was some music. He didn't hear me well. He said "sorry wat ?" "I'm a huge fan!" Then I guess my accent wasn't good either  He didn't hear me so..so....I GOT CLOSER TO HIM (fksdhfjdsgsaqsd) and said: "I was saying I'm a huge fan of the band, you're awesome" "Oh uh thanks thanks for coming ya know i hope you enjoy the show and everything" "Oh I'm sure of it! Thanks for coming!" (later i realised usually it's the band who says that, NOT the fans :uhoh: lolz) "I'm going to sleep now for like an hour so" (he did look very tired...still freaking cute and sexy and handsome tho) "oh sure! See ya!" And then he climbed up the steps and went backstage. And I was just over the moon :awesome::dazzled:

Then people started to arrive, slowly. I stared at everything that was on the stage, as i had never seen one so close before. It was cool. I noticed setlists on stage. I didnt recognize any of the names, which confirmed there was a support slot. People working at the venue checked instruments and eventually lights went off.

The support band was Air Bag One. Surprise, they were French (but their songs are in English) :cheesy: The singer. Ohmygod the singer. He ranks very very high in the most gorgeous singers of all time. Seriously he looked so gorgeous and cool and sexy, the groupies, that were next to me again, had trouble handling it. The guitarist looked like a young Benjamin Biolay :surprised: He looked very confident and he often jumped to the very edge of the stage. He was on the right, and as my last concert's experience was Coldplay, I couldn't help thinking what would happen if Guy ever did that. Then i came to the conclusion it could never happen ever ever ever, because they wouldn't be able to finish the concert without him (he would obviously be swallowed in the sea of fangirls). The band's performance was very good! They were some kind of pop/rock with an electronic twist. They released an EP, "Summer killed us". They had a couple of very good songs, but they definitely don't reach Kodaline's level to me.

After their slot, with a little help from people I thought were from the venue (but i don't know how these things work) the band members took their instruments and all the wires (omg so many of them everywhere how can they even find anything in this mess concerts are cray) off stage themselves!! Meanwhile, the groupies were giggling and trying to find the courage to ask his name or his number. Obviously they did not.

Then 2 other roadies came on, to install Kodaline's stuff. Neale Whelehan is one of them (i know his name because he has a Twitter account, @KodalineRoadie). Well as Ellen told me earlier, they must recruit by the looks because daamn he looks great

As he installed everything, i noticed the setlists on the floor. I didn't recognize 3 songs. One of them was called "Mandolin". You'll see later it gets funny :cheesy: Anyway, it looked like i was going to have a GREAT time. Cute Roadie was installing the instruments, and everything was so close to me, at each instrument i was like fhdjfgfhdgfs holycrap WHAT THE MIC THIS CLOSE R U SURE HGIHJKHSDFJS...as there were more people, i had to get closer to keep my spot, so I had to have my head up all the time it wasn't the most comfortable spot after all but i didn't care :awesome:

And then it was on :awesome: The lights went off, we saw the band coming on stage and we all clapped and woo-d. They started with Lose your mind. I couldn't believe they were so close. Steve said "Bonjour" ( :dazzled::dazzled: ) Steve was right in front of me. My brain was fried, haha. Vinny was at the back. Mark on the left, Jason on the right. Surprisingly, the bassist was the one who seemed to be the most at ease and outgoing and most importantly smiling the most :surprised: Again, I'm used to Coldplay

All of the songs were awesome, greatly performed and i was always mouthing/singing along and watching them with such a passion and admiration, i swear i looked like that: :awesome::wideeyed::dazzled: I looked in love, haha  (i say it now so i don't say it every time  ). After Lose your mind, I heard a man behind me say, in French: "so, basically he's a singer who doesn't sing, right ? He has no voice" I almost burst out laughing  Just you wait, man :dozey: Lose your mind isn't the song where Steve shows how perfect his voice is, anyway.

Here's a picture of the setlist, I'll tell you my highlights:

BETigPECYAAO6Fk.jpg

One Day was my coup de coeur of the night :dazzled::dazzled: Holycrap that song is a bit cheesy maybe but oh so beautiful :dazzled: and so true :bigcry:

People cheered louder when Steve announced Perfect World (obviously the loudest was for All I want).

After High Hopes ( :dazzled: ), Steve got a mandolin, and said: "The next song is called Love like this" (Mandolin mystery solved, haha  ). There was a problem with the mandolin though, cute roadie had to fix some things, plug and unplug some wires before they could start the song. Damn, I love this song.

After the fall was my least favourite. It didn't really strike me. It was very good but not as good as the rest of their material.

When Steve announced The Answer, he asked if a few people knew it at all, and I believe I was the only French who woo-d (there were some Irish fans in the crowd too, they were the loudest and thank god they were here, otherwise it would have been pretty dead honestly), not to brag or anything ~*

I really really really love this song, I was singing or mouthing every single word, and was in total admiration of Steve. His eyes are closed 99% of the time when he sings, but i swear at some point when he was starting to open his eyes he was looking into my direction for a few secs :awesome:

No need to comment All comes down, because obviously :dazzled::dazzled::dazzled:

They left the stage and we knew it was time for the encore so this time people woke up and we were loud.

They came back, but not on stage. That's right, they pulled off "a Coldplay" and performed Bring it on home in the the middle of the crowd :awesome::awesome: I wasn't on front this time but damn it was AWESOME,the crowd really liked that so that was good. That's a good trick to win the audience.

Here's a video:

(you can see me ~1 minute, i'm the brunette clapping for them at the back :cheesy: )

And a pic taken by Neale Cute Rodie:

BER3OZ1CEAE5s-x.jpg:large

(I'm the one with the beige sweater, whose head is hidden by Steve's mic)

The last song was All I want and that's when the audience was the loudest. Not impressively loud, but at least people clapped and cheered real loud at the end of the song. It was great to sing the Oh-Oh part with everyone. See, they got everything to get big, they already have their sing along!

The audience was made of a few fans, people who barely knew them and people who didn't know them at all (like the one who criticized Steve's voice). I think that at the end, everyone was conquered. French people aren't the most enthusiastic at bands, unless they're huge fans and/or big hits are performed and/or the band is famous. A French can stand still for an hour at a concert and not look amazed, and then say it was an awesome experience. Anyway, Steve kept repeating "it's awfully quiet in here". Poor guy, he's already uncomfortable when it comes to talking between songs, it didn't help him  He kept repeating that their album is coming out on June 10. They also tried talking in French. Jason knew a few words omg :dazzled: so cute :dazzled::dazzled:

I think they're great performers but they still need to gain a bit of confidence. Steve barely opens his eyes (yes, he's into the song and everything, but when he opens his eyes, it's usually to look at the ceiling...), Mark is great but same as Steve, he seems to choose a point to look at in the distance. I can't say much about Vinny, as he's in the back, it's hard to tell. Steve was so cute: he raised his arms and clapped, like they all do at the end of a gig, but after every single song!! :cheesy: How nice :cheesy:

I tried to make them smile by starting to stare at them, one at a time and just smile :D I believed Steve answered with a smile :awesome: The others didn't seem to have noticed :disappointed:

It's normal though, they don't have 15 years of career. They're really great for a young band.

After the concert, 2 women grabbed Steve's setlist right in front of me  I noticed Jason's was still on the ground. I couldn't reach it, so Cute Roadie gave it to me :dazzled: Thank you so much :dazzled::dazzled::dazzled: Several people asked if they could take a pic of it haha

I couldn't hang around, i had to leave early so i went straight to queue to get my coat back. In the queue, i heard an English woman talking with 2 French men. She was in charge of international relations (or something) for Sony UK!!! She said they still lacked a bit of confidence but that it was getting better at every gig.

Then the band went through the club (i didn't leave the queue because they seemed to be heading straight to the exit, but Steve actually stopped to talk with a few fans :dead: ) Then they climbed up the stairs to that merchandise area i mentioned earlier. I was back to being silly and shy and while they were climbing (right next to me :dead: ) "Hey guys that was awesome!" but they didn't hear me :| I got my coat and that was it. Sad i couldn't stay a bit longer but I did get my fair share of great experiences for the night so i'm okay with it

And that was it. It all happened so fast. I had such an amazing night, I knew it was going to be awesome and it did live up to my expectations. They're amazing and they're going to be big, I'm sure of it. I don't know how this could not work. If you can, buy a ticket to see them, really.

Here are a few vids I just found from last night:

^

I have faith in them.

They have ballads, songs that start slow and then go wilder, the sing along of All I want, good lyrics, a great ability to transmit emotion, they're 4 handsome men and great live...I don't know, i just can't not see all the ingredients for success here.

Steve told me (YES HE DID. Like, in PERSON. ASDFGHJKLF) that the record company wanted to release the album everywhere at the same time, so they decided to shift everything to the US release date: June 10th. Booh :(

I went to the gig last night.. gonna type a HUGE review now. I'm still a little bit on a high

The video uploading took FOREVER, but here it is. My (very long, and quite fangirly) review of last night's amazing Kodaline gig! Included some of my pics and videos as well :)

I don’t even know where to begin. Okay. Well I was going to the gig with my best friend Mimi. It was Tivoli de Helling in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

It’s a pretty cool venue, only 400 people can fit in there, so it has a really cozy livingroom kind of feeling! Anyway, we had some dinner and then

went to Tivoli around 7 PM. The doors would open at 7.30, and we were the 9th/10th people in line. After about 20 minutes, the backstagedoor

opened and we heard the guys soundcheck The Answer :wacky:

Anyway, doors opened on time, tickets scanned, quickly walked to the very front and ended up in the middle of the stage, under Steve’s mic and

keyboard. Grabbed something to drink, made ourselves comfortable and waited. Mark & Vinny ran across the stage a couple of times to fix some

things, but no other really interesting things happened. At 8.30, the support act started: Lowing. A Swedish singer songwriter whose voice reminded

me a bit of Passenger. He had some pretty nice songs and was nice to listen to =)

20130302203115.jpg

After that, Kodaline’s roadie Neale started preparing the stage and testing the guitars, bass & drums. Ladies: keep an eye out for him.

He is gorgeous. See exhibit A and B below  He also placed the setlists, so we took a peek at what we could expect: and it was really nice :awesome:

20130302210439.jpg

20130302220708.jpg

20130302211636.jpg

I think it was about 9.35/9.40 when the boys took the stage. So awesome to finally see them right in front of you like that! Without any introduction they

immediately started playing Lose your Mind, which is the perfect song to start with imo. They really sounded great, and Jason is probably the happiest guy

alive. Man, he smiles a lot! It’s so weird, after Guy I always expect the bassist to be quiet and just stare, but he was constantly looking for contact with

everyone and looking so, so happy to be there. Great guy, great energy =)

20130302214758.jpg

20130302220714.jpg

20130302221813.jpg

Mark.. Mark is TALL. And great. And just generally awesome. But I’ll get back to that later :wink3:

Vinny was working his ass off behind those drums and Steve rocked the tambourine. Yes, it is possible to do that with a tambourine.

Anyway, awesome way to start the gig! Steve made a very poor and very adorable attempt at introducing themselves and keeping a

little talk. He is SO self-conscious, you almost feel bad for him. ‘Hi, we’re a band called Kodaline and umm.. we are very happy that you’ve

come out to see us. Umm. So. Yeah. This is called Pray and it’ll be on our album. Which will come out in June. Umm. So…. Yep.’ SO adorable :wacky:

Anyway, Pray is so beautiful irl! I tried filming it and enjoying it at the same time, which is difficult. Anyways, this is the result.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK74ucj-zUY]Kodaline - Pray - Tivoli Utrecht - 2 Maart 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

After that they played One Day, where Steve basically did the second half of his little speech again, accompanied with some awkward little laughs

and cuteness. I like the song, but didn’t know it very well yet. When it ended, Steve introduced the bandmembers. ‘Here, on my right is Mèèèèrk.

Behind me there’s Vinny, and this is Jay. Jason. Jayyyy. So. Uhm. Yeah. This is called Perfect World. It’ll be on our album as well.’ *CUTE AWKWARDNESS OVERLOAD*

Perfect World was very good live. I really have nothing else to say: it’s all just so brilliant live! Steve’s vocals are very good, although he modifies

some parts when you compare it to the EP version. But that gives the live version a bit more character, I think. Liked it =)

Then: High Hopes. I was afraid that nobody would film it and that I couldn’t enjoy it after the gig, so I tried filming again.

But wow.. that song is so intense live! I felt some tears well up during the second half of the song.. it was truly beautiful. So much emotion in there..

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0nLOd-mL6g]Kodaline - High Hopes - Tivoli de Helling - 2 maart 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

‘Hi. We’re a band called Kodaline. But you know that because *points at boxes on the stage* it’s freaking written on there.’ Then he mumbles,

away from microphone: ‘Wow, I really need to work on my talking.’ :wacky::wacky::wacky:

Love like This (named Mandolin on the setlist again! ) is surprisingly catchy live! Everybody started moving along to it, and Jason was giving it his all haha.

He was nearly dancing at some point

I had never heard After the Fall before, but WOW. Great, great song. Powerful . Definitely recommend you to find a live version to listen to or something,

haha. It’s very good!!!

The Answer was also beautiful:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5IebbcfqJM]Kodaline - The Answer (fragment) - Tivoli de Helling - 2 Maart 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

But nothing beats All Comes Down To You. Seriously. That is my new 100% favorite Kodaline song. That was SO beautiful! I mostly just stood there

with my eyes closed, mumbling the words along. I couldn’t do much else. It really got to me. (After the gig, Mimi told me that when I was standing there

like that, she saw Jason watching me with this sort of approving smile hahaha. Then he nodded and smiled at her. I had no clue that that happened until

she told me:lol: )

This is a little fragment that Mimi filmed for me

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q--PUsVEPJg]Kodaline - All Comes Down to You (fragment) - Tivoli de Helling - 2 maart 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

Anyway, they got off stage. 2 or 3 minutes later they came back, and lined up to do Bring it on home to me. This has got to be one of the funniest concert

experiences I have had. It was brilliant. The boys started up Bring it on home, and some people in the crowd started singing Proud Mary to the beat of the

clicks. And then everybody went for it! See for yourself, it’s beyond awesome :awesome:

(not my video, this is from the girl that was next to me!)

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh8lLS5pVLc]FUN times with Kodaline @ Tivoli de Helling - Utrecht/Holland 02.03.2013 - YouTube[/ame]

I MEAN: HOW AWESOME IS THAT :awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

And then it was time for the very last song: All I want. This is by far the best known one in Holland, so we had a little 400-people-background choir .

It was absolutely beautiful and you can’t really do anything else than listen and try to take it in. Especially the part with ‘woahh ooh ooh oooooooh ooh’

is SO powerful. Goosebumps all over.

Then it was time to say goodbye.. With a couple of ‘Thanks’ , waves, bows and clapping they left the stage.

The gig ended, people grabbed setlists, but Mark’s was still laying there. Neale was picking up stuff there, so I shouted ‘Neale!’ and he immediately

looked up and looked so nice! I asked for a setlist, got a ‘Yeah, of course!’ with a cute smile and then headed back to the exit.

A guy told us that Neale told him that the boys would be coming out, but he didn’t know when or where. So when I bought my t-shirt at the tiny merch

stand, I asked the guy if he had any idea. ‘Hold on love, let me ring Jay for ya.’ LIKE WHAAAAAAT!!!! FOR REAL? WHAT? After messing with his contacts,

he said that he couldn’t find his number so he tried Neale. He answered, and said that the boys would be down in 10 to have a couple of beers in the

– let’s call it a - lobby.

*30 second dance party*

And THEY DID!! After a couple of minutes Vinny and Jason came out, followed by Mark. Vinny walked across the lobby straight in my direction, so in

some sort of weird ‘omgwtfwhatamigonnadonow’ kind of state I just walked up to him and introduced myself. He was really nice, and we had a quick chat in

which I basically thanked him for the great gig, asked him if he liked the venue/city, blabla random shit. He is such a sweet guy! A bit shy-ish, but very kind.

After that I saw Jason, who was still VERY happy  He saw that I saw him (see-ception) and came over to introduce himself to me. Asked me if I enjoyed

the show, and some more of these ‘standard’ questions. He mentioned Paradiso (where they’ll play in June) and I said that I just bought tickets for that this

morning! ‘Oh really? Oh that is very nice, thank you so much! I love that you enjoy it so much.’ :awesome: Then we started talking about Paradiso for a bit

and took a very blurry photo just before Neale asked him to do something.

20130302225100.jpg

I had to breathe for a while, so I talked with Mimi for a bit and sent out some frantic tweets

I had my new t-shirt in my hands, and Mark noticed it when he came over for a chat. Asked him to sign it, which was kinda troubling cause we didn’t have a

smooth surface to write on so we basically put it on both our hands and he tried signing it with the free one:lol: This explains why it looks like he wrote York or

smth  We talked some more about the city, where they’re from, and what their schedule is for the upcoming weeks. It quickly became festival talk, so I

started fishing and YES: it’s not officially announced yet, but they’re playing another Dutch festival this summer! :awesome: ‘Our little secret, okay?’ *puddle*

Mark was really amazing. Great guy. And goodlooking :wink3:

You can see I’m charmed by him. I look full retard.

In the meantime: photomoment :awesome:

20130303030538.png

When somebody asked for Steve, the guys said he was upstairs having a smoke. I think he fell asleep though, he came downstairs like 40 minutes after

the others

When he arrived, he dived straight into the smoking section of the building with the others haha. There were glass walls, so we could see them messing

around. At some point Jay was dancing like crazy for an unknown reason, and when he noticed that we could SEE him he was so awkwardly embarrassed

:laugh3: :laugh3: When they all came back out, Jay came to talk to us and 2 other guys.. joking about a possible dancing career (‘With or without poles.. I

don’t care. I rock all of it.’). They were staying in Amsterdam that night, but he joked he prefers Utrecht: ‘I feel like it’s safer here. In Amsterdam, I expect to be

lured into a dark alley by creepy gay guys all the time. Especially now it’s out in the open that I can dance like this.. ’

I wanted to go back to Mimi, so I initiated a handshake and he was all like ‘You gotta be joking. Come here!’ and hugged me  I said goodbye a couple

of times actually, but everytime the conversation kept restarting so we hugged goodbye for like 4 times

So yeah.. in the meantime I was hesitant to walk up to Steve for a photo since he was talking to other people. However, after 10 minutes of nagging by Mimi

we finally went over and had my picture taken. Steve: ‘Picture? Yeah sure! I really need a haircut tho.’ No you don’t, you gorgeous bastard. Mimi made like 5 in

a row, very quick, and you could hear the shutter sounds, so Steve went: ‘Is that thing okay? Sounds like it’s tripping…’ and he walked up close to the camera

very slowly. I ofc followed.. which results in these photos :dazzled:

20130302235632.jpg

20130302235638.jpg

20130302235839.jpg

DUDE. I MEAN. WHUTWHUTWHUT :dazzled:

Steve and I talked for about 5 minutes (he is way more relaxed like this.. nothing like his shyness on stage! He was really talkative, joking, and completely and

utterly CUTE) and when I mentioned my exchange to New York he said they’d probably be there in the fall and that he really hoped to see me there. 2 hugs

later we really had to go to catch our last train…

I think we were there for over an hour… I don’t even remember all the exact conversations cause of all the excitement  I honestly think I forgot half of it.

Either way: these guys are AMAZING. They are the sweetest, kindest and funniest guys I’ve talked to in a while. Seriously. And they all smell DIVINE, especially

Mark. Dayum. Okay. End of fangirling. OH! And Jason has a girlfriend. CUTE

Time to get chill. Oh, and thanks for reading. Or skimming through it, whichever one you did

I know right! Steve's so adorable :wacky:

But yeah, I hope they stay this way. I kinda think they will though.. they are al SO down to earth and humble. I can't really see them getting arrogant and everything. But I guess time will tell;p

And yeah, the small venue made it so much better: we were leaning ON stage! No distance whatsoever. I wish we had that for Coldplay as well

WHAT? There's so much more :dazzled: :dazzled:

Spotify sucks in terms of Kodaline. Okay. Masterclass. Only live versions, but hey. They'll have to do for now

Kodaline live at Eurosonic. Start the video at 16.30 - that song is called Love Like This! Straight after that comes All Comes Down To You, at 21.50!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFzIhlS7b_Y]Kodaline live op Eurosonic 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

Then we've got the song One Day, which is this one.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x7x5N4qKUw]One Day - Kodaline @ Rotonde, Botanique - 27/02/2013 - YouTube[/ame]

And then there's War:

And of course After the Fall, but I can't find a video for that asap.

And their cover of Bring it on home:

But nothing beats All Comes Down To You. Seriously. That is my new 100% favorite Kodaline song. That was SO beautiful! I mostly just stood there

with my eyes closed, mumbling the words along. I couldn’t do much else. It really got to me. (After the gig, Mimi told me that when I was standing there

like that, she saw Jason watching me with this sort of approving smile hahaha. Then he nodded and smiled at her. I had no clue that that happened until

she told me:lol: )

This is a little fragment that Mimi filmed for me

Anyway, they got off stage. 2 or 3 minutes later they came back, and lined up to do Bring it on home to me. This has got to be one of the funniest concert

experiences I have had. It was brilliant. The boys started up Bring it on home, and some people in the crowd started singing Proud Mary to the beat of the

clicks. And then everybody went for it! See for yourself, it’s beyond awesome :awesome:

(not my video, this is from the girl that was next to me!)

Steve and I talked for about 5 minutes (he is way more relaxed like this.. nothing like his shyness on stage! He was really talkative, joking, and completely and

utterly CUTE) and when I mentioned my exchange to New York he said they’d probably be there in the fall and that he really hoped to see me there. 2 hugs

I think it was about 9.35/9.40 when the boys took the stage. So awesome to finally see them right in front of you like that! Without any introduction they

immediately started playing Lose your Mind, which is the perfect song to start with imo. They really sounded great, and Jason is probably the happiest guy

alive. Man, he smiles a lot! It’s so weird, after Guy I always expect the bassist to be quiet and just stare, but he was constantly looking for contact with

everyone and looking so, so happy to be there. Great guy, great energy =)

Le t-shirt, with lots of love from York (huge photo for some reason :s)

Awesome review!!! Yep Steve you really need a haircut.

So a few days ago I read that they invited some girls, attendig their show, to have some drinks, then I read Céline's review and now this. I'm jealous:disappointed:
