July 26, 201312 yr Hello all, my name is Ben, I'm 30 years old and I live in the south of Argentina. I´ve been listening to Coldplay since 1999 when a friend of us got the Safety EP and I found it very interesting (taking into account the music of that time). I personally belong and I've been playing in the punk/hardcore scene for nearly 16 years but I do enjoy all kinds of music. I like The Smiths, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, The Pixies, Polaris/Miracle Legion and many bands more and I truly enjoy their music although most of the music I listen to belong to the less known kind of music such as hardcore-punk scene with bands such as Dropdead, Limp Wrist, Los Crudos, Discharge, Bad Brains, Black Flag and tons of others. I personally admire, as a guitar player myself, to Jonny Buckland mostly because of his sound and his style, I think he worked through the years trying to achieve something original and distinctive. My favourite records belong to the first trilogy (as they called it) and one of my favourite songs is High Speed, which is perhaps the first song I was really interested in learning to play at its fullest. I like those 3 first records the most because at some point reflect a period of time for me, good or bad, it doesn't matter I think they are awesome, even the critized "X & Y" which I found to be an excellent record, full of dynamics and excellent songs. On a personal note, I am school teacher. I worked in kinder, primary and now I am working in secondary school, which I enjoy a lot and I can share my musical taste and crazy ideas with my students. I hope to contribute and share my thoughts with all of you. Today, my city woke up covered with snow, which is a good start and I'll take it as a positive sign. Regards to all -Mr. Bene
July 26, 201312 yr Author Welcome Ben! :) Do you still have the copy of the Safety EP? It belonged to a friend of mine, I only did a copy in cassette for me at that time. I will ask him if he still has it. Thank you all for the warm welcome :)
