0k, so we have already listened Midnight and Magic, which are good but are also very slow. I don't know what do you think, but I'm really starving of hearing something really fast and heavy from Ghost Stories. I mean, a song full of guitars and drums. What I want now is the storm after the calm, the Shiver or Yellow, the Politik, the Square One, the Chinese Sleep Chant or the Major Minus of Ghost Stories. Don't know which one of the titles could be that song.

I just head In The Sun with Coldplay and Michael Stipe for the first time. And I know it's not technically Coldplay, but that performance man. That's the kind of music I want to be hearing.

That would be nice yeah.

 

Think of a song like UATW though - very understated climax yet very powerful as I think most of us would agree. Indeed, Magic and Midnight do this - they get big, but not too big.

 

But bigger than big. That will be very interesting for this album. :)

Songs with heavy guitar/piano like What if or 42 is what I want

A song that came to mind along this vein is DLIBYH. Its really heavy and bombastic, yet in a nice non-heavy way, if it makes any sense hehe I hope we´ll find a song like this on Ghost Stories.

Exactly! I know what you mean, that intro... Well, and in fact it does what you say through all the song. So yeah, we need songs like that one!

Don't know about you guys, but I honestly don't see any tracks on the album being heavy or "exploding" like they do on Mylo or any previous albums. It just doesn't seem to be the right thing to do with the Ghost Stories concept and all. :/

I like DLIBYH especially the live version. I love 42, but I have a feeling it´s too organic for Ghost Stories, which so far at least has a very clear electronic vibe throughout

I hope in a sort of dark Glasses of Water.

I looove DLIBYH but as said before I can't see that being in Ghost Stories, just doesn't fit the album (from what we know of it anyway)

I'd like to see a song like Everything's Not Lost I absolutely love that song

Good topic. Was thinking same. As much as I like the 4 songs we've heard I'd like a couple of rockers.

My thought was that they would put those on the bonus CD being released.

I have a feeling Ink will be the powerful song on this one.
