Going though a bad time in my life I watched your Glastonbury performance of which was around the time that X & Y was released, though I knew of your music, it was that performance and the song 'speed of sound' that made me a fan. I needed hope and something to help me believe that things would get better, that I would find my place. I class X & Y as the album that saved my life, it has a special place in my heart and I will never forget that!! Thankyou!!

I have updated first post, please read contributors and not contributors too.

P.S.Better make a big stand and tell someone who lives near the bakery to leave it there lol

Hahaha I'm inclined to do so if someone helps.

If you allow me a suggestion, I'd keep it low-profile. It's not because we're trying to get a nice message across that this means we're allowed to cross some lines, as implied in 'make a big stand'. The initial idea of contacting Debs sounds about right to me.

Also, maybe it's nice to recall here that in the past we didn't exactly display exemplary behaviour -- we sent tons of tweets, both to @coldplay and to personal accounts of the band's crew to wish them happy christmas. Please, let us not do this again, ok :)

^Yes, you're right. I'm thinking about sending it to her as an oracle question, but in very very very polite way ("could you please if it won't bother anyone" and so) and asking her to only confirm me by e-mail if she can or cannot do as we wish.

At first I thought "well I mean, it's not that rude to send out happy christmas wishes"

and then I imagined Roadie's and crew member's devices exploding of all the spam mails "LOL HAPPEHEHE XMAS I KNU WHERE U LIEV"

so uh, yeah, let's not mutate into overly attached Coldplayers :uhoh:

Great, thanks :)

 As far as I recall it wasn't *that* bad, but it must be pretty annoying to have tons of tweets with the same RT. And also, it's their *personal accounts*, which shouldn't get spammed by fans, even if it's nice to wish someone happy christmas

"HELLO DAMN GREEN [...]"

:lol::lol:

Also, I'm voting for Twisted Logic in the poll, because damn this song is awesome, but quite underrated.

"HELLO DAMN GREEN I KNOW UR IP I GO STEEL ALL WAYS IN MY RED SYNTH SOUNDS NAW, MERY XMAS"

"KTHXBYE <3333"

Damn Green, I LOL'd way too hard at that :laugh3:

X&Y has a special place in my heart, it made me pass through a rough time recently and Talk (one of my favourite songs) helped me a lot. Funny fact is that the children’s memoire I still remember, the coldplay ones are intact, the ones I remember perfectly. One includes me seeing my brother and cousin happy and very excited listening to X&Y, which makes me very very happy, because, unfortunately, those times only belong to the past.

X&Y is such a good album, with a great meaning, thank you for it and also thank you for “giving” me these good memories and helping me when I was so scared about the future and I didn’t know what to do! :)

X&Y is not only an amazing piece of music, it also connects with so many Coldplay fans on a personal level which is what makes this record so special to us. It gets me through life's toughest parts and goes with me to the greatest times. It is not sub standard in any way, shape or form!

A message is my favorite coldplay song! They need to play it live more!

X&Y is the first and only album that has been on in my car since I passed my driving test a couple of months ago. Such a variety of material, but it's all incredible. The euphoria of Fix You. The longing of Swallowed in the Sea. The hope of Til Kingdom Come. This album has got me through a lot of hard times, and will always be one of my favourite albums.

I couldn't believe it when Chris said they were only 60% happy with how X&Y turned out. Its a tremendous record and I wasn't one of those who criticized it after AROBTTH. The album has an amazing atmosphere and I loved it and still do. Some of their best songs and my favorites are on it. Square One, X&Y and Low are brilliant. A Message and Swallowed in the Sea more so.

Your most underrated track is on this album; The Hardest Part which is a song that screams Coldplay. Amazing mixture and balance between the drums, guitar, bass and especially the loveley piano. Amazing piano rock. Also special for me because Fix You is probably the only song I've cried to.

Just because you guys don't like X&Y very much doesn't mean other people can't love it.

X&Y lyrics escorts me all my life because their meaning is very deep for me.

I hope one day you will bring some more from X&Y to your concerts.

A Message - "And I'm on fire for you, clearly."

The Hardest Part - "Everything I know is wrong. Everything I do, it just comes undone. And everything is torn apart."

The lyrics are so sincere, and they always have an impact on me. There are some true gems on this album.

X&Y has such a range to it. I hear people saying it is repetitive. I think, well, I genuinely can't think of any other album that has me almost in tears at Fix You and within the next 5/10 minutes jumping around to Talk or Speed of Sound. For it's length, it's the greatest collection of songs I've ever heard! Only problem with them is that they're not heard enough in concert! *hint *hint

If sending our messages over the internet comes in vain...would it be more practical to put it in an envelope on a USB and throw/give it to them on stage xD Or maybe just put it through the letterbox of the bakery?

First let me say a great idea, this album deserves more attention! Thank you for starting this thread. I could imagine if the deadline would be a little later we get much more answers...

If I had to flee or exile for whatever reason and could take only one CD with me I would take X&Y. Since I ever once listened to it completely I would not want to miss this, absolutely love to listen it in whole, somewhere outdoors, enjoy it like going through a course of emotions. I underline the term “masterpiece”, i.m.o. it seems an irreplaceable switch or link from the previous to the later works, where Parachutes (the album) is still visible and Paradise or even A Sky Full Of Stars do shimmer through already. Square One, What If, White Shadows, Low and Twisted Logic are some of my very favourites ever.

Fix You is great, although to be honest I’m a bit tired of it only this gets the worthy attention, other X&Y tracks would also deserve to be more played live.

Speed Of Sound live acoustic was amazing and recently ‘Till Kingdom Come in Cologne made me really look hopefully to the new era.

We would indeed, but, if we manage to make these messages reach the boys, which is already a difficult thing, we don't want them to be tired by reading hundreds of messages. We're already speaking by many people.

I just love X&Y in every aspect. I think its their best album yet. I even think it might be the best album i have ever heard. X&Y is the only album from which i love literally EVERY song. I'd rate it at least 9/10. We just need this as a part of coldplay and as a part of the concerts.

It was the first album that really introduced me to coldplay and it's still THE coldplay album for me.
