March 18, 200917 yr Placebo have done a Coldplay and have put the new single up for free download on their website (placeboworld.co.uk) Can't say I love it. placebo have done what ? c'mon.....don't think like most of the blind coldplay fans...
March 18, 200917 yr the song is on youtube too.... mmm sounds like a mixtue of other works :\ ... as if they've mixed at least 2 or 3 songs (music) and another 2 (voice)... :uhoh: well i guess is a matter of get used to it.
March 18, 200917 yr The intro (first minute) of the song is a bit so-so and repetitive, but fuck me... it really blossoms into being an awesome classic Placebo rocker! I think I am going to like this album.
March 19, 200917 yr the vocals on the song are amazing, true Molko style. but i found the guitar work to be a little tired sounding. nonetheless cant wait to go see them on this tour
March 28, 200917 yr AL Placebo announce full album tracklisting Brian has explained the thinking behind the collection, as well as the tracklisting. Molko said: "I believe 'Battle' to be the first of our albums to tell a story over the course of its 52 minutes. Our previous releases were really only collections of songs and even though the songs are ordered according to the musical flow, I hope that if you listen hard enough to the words that some kind of discernible thematic unity will begin to emerge." BUM / BATTLE FOR THE SUN The tracklisting is: 'Kitty Litter' 'Ashtray Heart' 'Battle For The Sun' 'For What It’s Worth' 'Devil In The Details' 'Bright Lights' 'Speak In Tongues' 'The Never-Ending Why' 'Julien' 'Happy You're Gone' 'Breathe Underwater' 'Come Undone' ‘Kings Of Medicine’ source source: Placeboworld.co.uk

April 2, 200917 yr no big surprise, the album is released in june, so summer time has a lot of festivals everywhere, good way to tour/promote the album the first months. and well they use to play in festivals, not only on this tour... pay attention to 17th July, two concerts on the same day? :o anyways i would call it a festival tour if they would come to any festival near to were i live :P (those are not very known ones, although two years ago they were seriously rumoured for one of them :stunned: ). I hope they will announce more dates in Spain anyways. :) (Bilbao is very far from where i live  )
April 20, 200917 yr new song For What Its Worth- first official single off Battle For The Sun [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt05zXzASb0]YouTube - Placebo For What It's Worth[/ame]
April 20, 200917 yr Good stuff! Restored my faith a bit after being worried by the title track. This looks like a good album, and even if not this is still a mighty fine Placebo single leaving that trend unbroken.
April 20, 200917 yr Good stuff indeed! I heard it this morning on the radio and they interviewed Brian who said the 'Placebo split' rumors are bullshit...He said that the band have many things to achieve musically and that a split is out of the question for the years to come ^^
May 1, 200917 yr The new single's video is able on their youtube channel. I like it, the suits, and the stop and labels things. although lol they keep with their stuff. hehe their hair, well i miss the old drummer... :\ [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo2cSq3s4NM]YouTube - Placebo - For What It's Worth (Official Video)[/ame] btw i found a link somewhere with 4 songs of the album, but the link is dead now, and not i could download them. :(
May 2, 200917 yr BRAIN MOLKO GREW HIS HAIR!! LONG!! REALLY LONG!!! i love the song and annoyed at the negative reaction to it. its a much more mature sounding placebo and i'm really looking forward to this upcoming record. but the little mario kart bit is an epic fail.
May 2, 200917 yr yes hehe i've noticied that from another vid from their channel some months ago. so strange how it can be that long when not long ago he has it very short. what do you mean with the mario kart bit?
May 2, 200917 yr but the little mario kart bit is an epic fail. That bit is pure genius. You die now. Also on Rage last night, they played this clip next to Kasabian's newbie Fire. Two formerly short haired now way too long hair singers in a row. Is this the new style?
May 2, 200917 yr ^^ haha. maybe in the context of this so called "concept' album it might make more sense. and God bless Rage!! its a dream of mine to one day(night) programme an episode of Rage.
May 13, 200917 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZhvHP4JMqs]YouTube - Placebo - Battle For The Sun[/ame] ^just found that video. on the adverts it says that today they will play 4 songs for xfm. too bad i didn't knew it earlier :\
May 16, 200917 yr There are vids (youtube) with the songs they played for xfm (ashtray heart, wouldn't it be good, battle for the sun, for what it's worth) radio and of their show played in Sheffield. user bullydayz seems have more songs played live on his channel: Julien Happy you're gone devil in the details speak in tongues ashtray heart Btw from what i've read their new song: Wouldn't it be good, is a reprise from Nik Kershaw from 1984. Well sincerelly when i've listened that one i thought the video was a rick-roll as i thought... :uhoh: don't that song is from the 80's :uhoh:
May 29, 200917 yr ^^ i'll be back in about 3hours but i first need to sign up then record it. so i'll try and have it up by 10PM (Syd time) tonight. but im sure by that time there will be a million links all over the internet. can't wait to listen to it. sucks how all these great records are coming out near exam time :(
May 29, 200917 yr hehe i have enough distractions in my life aside from music obsession. i've just finished downloading the album and will start recording uploading and posting the songs very soon. but dinner first.
