Why should I listen to GS?

I just don't get the title, it's a song about tattoos yeah?

maybe that ink but I don't see any other references

I think you should listen to 4 songs:

Another's Arms (specially Jonny boy solos)

Magic (it's a nice adrenaline built up)

Ghost Story (Wish all the album sounded like it)

All Your Friends (sounds vintage)

And cross your fingers LP7 sounds better.

1P 2A 3X 4V 5M 6G 7?

I know that but I feel like I moved my lovers and haters badges only use in arguments about food and politics :|

now I listened to it and I liked Ink, yup that one, the rest was rather meh to me

have you tried listening to all your friends? really good song

Have you listened to it yet?

You could also listen to it from another perspective. I don't know if you've listened/watched Chris' interview with Zane Lowe, but there he really explains that this album is very personal, about his own journey the past 2 years. So you could also listen to it if you're curious to get how Chris Martin put into words and music, with the help of his lads, how he felt about his marriage and his life over the past few years. I mean from that perspective it could be quite interesting too.

Also, well, as others have pointed out, if you were disappointed with the sound or the feel of MX, don't you worry, it doesn't sound like it all.

You could also find it curious how they kind of incorporate some electronic into their music. Perhaps you're not into EDM, but it could still be funny, interesting to hear what they do with it, and you might even find yourself liking how they did it.

Finally, Ghost Story, gurl. It's fckin brilliant.

before the Zane Lowe interview I didn't really know what to think of it all because of the lyrics but Chris basically said "fuck it, I felt like I needed to write that" I just thought: fuck it, that's fine. I'm not really interested in his marriage and stuff though.

and about "that one song that all dj's use now" (perfect way to describe it to be honest ) for me it just showed that whatever genre they try, they come up with a good song, they can do everything :drunk:

and YES Ghost Story, combo between AROBTTH and Viva, couldn't be better!

How awesome would it be if they played Ghost Story?

ikr???? :awesome::awesome: basically what we've been begging them to do :awesome::lol:

:wideeyed::wideeyed::wideeyed:

oops sorry i meant that the the Germany thread, but ha that works here too

thanks for the answers guys but I need real reasons (not that they aren't good or so) but I threw away all my love for this band and went all to my Editors, Arcade Fire, Alt-J and other bands cd's

so tell me, why should I listen an album of a band that I neglected for at least 2 years?

Hmm.. why do you want to 'know' this? If you do not find the music good then that's just it.. You can't really 'make' yourself love music. Taste can change of course, music can grow on you. But looking at the other bands you love, it probaly will not happen.

But, why throw away your love for the band itself? Does their last album or last 2 albums make you dislike their older albums?

I'm critical of most songs on their last 2 albums: production, lyrics, songs, edm, rnb blabla, but the brilliant 'Politik' still sounds like the brilliant 'Politik'!

Edit: Mentioned song Midnight def could be a song you might like, but probably already heard?

It's like Coldplay are getting over a cold, when in MX they were flu-level fever-hallucination rambling on sorta thing, if that makes sense.

Great quote haha

I have listened to it, yes, and I think I should listen again to get a better opinion :)

Though I think there is one song that sounds a bit like what some people here in the Faroes make :awesome:

which one? ahahah

Thanks, I am hoping to stir up some buzz about it! Let's get this song played live ppl!

Why would you not? If you're so put off by their last album then why consider it? It's a forty five minute lp, it's not that big of an endeavor to listen to it once. Just stream the short forty five minute thing and see if you like it. If you don't then just don't buy it afterwards or stream it again.
