January 20, 201511 yr Author I try to see where you can get the version that was scanned and for speed of sound I know now it's guitar in the intro but doesn't it sound like a Yamaha Cp80 or honky-tonk or some electric grand?
January 20, 201511 yr Gee, I'm not sure about that, I think it is a guitar, maybe it's the chords on the charts? Haven't tried those yet. not betting money on the guitar, but the amount of synths used on the record are also sky high. Your book also has the keyboard arranged for guitar? January 20, 201511 yr I'd like to chime in here, for Fix You the BPM is actually 138 which is 69 doubled. I only know this because if you listen to them play Fix You live at the BBC in 2008 you can hear Will count in with his drum sticks.
January 20, 201511 yr Oh, ok, I was just writing down what the was on the book, but thanks :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 20, 201511 yr guess we only need to nail down Ghost Stories and Viva la Vida now :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 20, 201511 yr When It comes to Coldplay the "correct information" seems to be very very evasive. ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 21, 201511 yr I try to see where you can get the version that was scanned and for speed of sound I know now it's guitar in the intro but doesn't it sound like a Yamaha Cp80 or honky-tonk or some electric grand? The Piano on Speed of Sound is a Tack Piano. It's a piano with metal thumb tacks pushed into the hammers. it gives a metallic, honky tonk ish kind of sound. They used one on Lovers in Japan and Viva La Vida too. The guitar also doubles up the intro riff too.
January 21, 201511 yr I try to see where you can get the version that was scanned and for speed of sound I know now it's guitar in the intro but doesn't it sound like a Yamaha Cp80 or honky-tonk or some electric grand? I was playing some songs according to the book and found some inaccuracies with the same songs you mentioned: White shadows: weird prechorus and also extra notes were added to the main riff, not sure why. (Scribd has the right notes for this one) If you have at least two book on hand you'll get the most accurate notes, with only one, I'm not so sure. I will keep you posted on the rest. January 21, 201511 yr Author Mine did also it had 16 fret on string 2 and 1. I'm still looking for the Scribd version in print.
January 21, 201511 yr Yup, exactly, that extra 16 that is just not there. But I think the extra notes on speed of sound make up for it, I guess? It sounds richer than the Scribd version. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 27, 201511 yr Just noticed that Speed of sound is played differently on both books as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 7, 201511 yr Has anybody purchased Ghost Stories or Viva la Vida (Recorded Guitars Version) recently? :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
February 26, 201511 yr I asked Oracle, but haven't gotten a response. Do you happen to know the background talking on the song Easy To Please?
February 26, 201511 yr Author Yep the band or engineer set up a mic out side the studio while it was raining. Then they set the audio file in the song
February 28, 201511 yr Author About the ghost stories tab book both versions look the same. I just glanced at them tho
