November 16, 201411 yr Oh wow I didnt know that the first time the band flew to the United States was on Sept 12, 2001, the day after 911 and the flight's got cancelled and Chris decided to write AROBTTH and Politik because of that event....? If thats a yes then it is interesting to know then
November 16, 201411 yr Author Judging by the sales figures they gave for AROBTTH, pretty sure this is from pre X&Y or during the X&Y era

November 16, 201411 yr i remember that they played some shows in US early 2001. so can't be the first time they were coming to the US. Well then maybe because they were having some records to do. Thanks for mentioning that!

November 16, 201411 yr Author ive never heard x&Y spoken of so highly xD You haven't spoken to me properly yet :D Yeah, it is odd Clocks wasn't mentioned
November 16, 201411 yr Lol if you guys happen to meet this Mr. Coldplaying just get ready to have your ears wide open because he's so talkative fyi :awesome:
November 16, 201411 yr Great documentary :). I wonder what some of these people would say now. Cause their sound has evolved so much. I wonder if they would be a fan of Ghost Stories, or if they would hate it. :P And same here, I have never heard such high things about X&Y. I am glad though as it is a great album!
November 17, 201411 yr Alright, uploading right now. The file is ~750 MB, so it'll take some time. I also apologize for the potato cam quality, the stream was very pixelated.
November 17, 201411 yr Author There was an interesting part on AROBTTH, about not been too glossy that being too glossy takes away the emotion. I think Ghost Stories is a great album but I think it doesn't go that step further because of that and it's probably why Oceans is my favourite on the album, it's slightly more raw. Coldplay in 2005 were unescapable. They had a lot of criticisms because you couldn't escape them. Speed Of Sound would be playing in every shop and every radio station. It was pure bliss to be a Coldplay fan back then but the haters weren't impressed!

It was pure bliss to be a Coldplay fan back then but the haters weren't impressed! Fuck man, those days! :wacky: Coldplay really were EVERYWHERE. Speed of Sound was constantly blasting either from a nearby tv or the speakers in stores you went to LOL. I think the same happened with VIVA, I do believe it was even more extreme.
