I interpret those lines as showing that whatever outside influences ("thunder" and "rain") might hinder the relationship the song is referencing, they should be discounted as unimportant ("fool's gold"), trivial, terminal ("warring"-- therefore eventually ending itself). What do you think? Perhaps they are allusions to other poetry, movies, stories, literature, or something entirely personal to Chris (or another band member) as well. Also, this is probably my favorite song on the album. It reminds me of the pop punk stuff I was into when I was in Jr. High... in a good way!

The sentence that I always miss instead or forget cuz I cant hear it is "mean it say loud". He goes full falsetto and then he loses me LOL I must say I just love how Chris enunciates in this song. Each word fits beautifully and I like how rhythmic his singing is here.

December 30, 201510 yr The very two last lines? Or did you mean another part? The last 2 lines I can understand but the lines above them are difficult to hear and seem different from the lyrics on the website. See post #18 for the 2 paragraphs I'm referring to. That's my interpretation of them.

And if they are not, stuburn as I am, I will keep singing my version anyway. :D
December 31, 201510 yr ^^ What I hear is: "Out from the underground awaaaaaayyyyyyyyy with me" (underground and away are almost one word as he sings them one after the other, maybe thats why you dont hear it?) I definitely hear fearless three times, the last one a bit unclear but its there in my ears. I cant hear the together after fearless though. Cant hear the you before said we´ll go, but it may very well be there.
