Coldplay site moon phase change

Featured Replies

So...the moon phases at the top right of the site...pretty sure all of them were white and the last one wasn't a circle. Could something be going on here?

Hmm I honestly cant remember how they were, but the circle with nothing in it looks like a new moon to me.

or that too, whoops.

And it's NOT full moon currently, by the way !

Its new moon in a few hours :)

I noticed that and wondered what it could stand for...ahh, new moon around Sag Degree 19 (astrology) .

"Moon will set, sun will rise" said the birds of paradise - Lyrics from Birds of Paradise, just a random thing.

Maybe it is a sign for "horizon breaking sunrise" event in the future~

I don't think it stands for LP8. It could stand for seven moon phases needed to make the cycle complete, which would fit with Coldplay's view of their career !

That was a joke. But the other 7 moons could be like standing for their albums in some way as well, and the yellow one just like you guys say, just like a moon calendar. Maybe we'll find out!

The moon is extremely occult...and not in a good way at all.

I'm not surprised - MX at last showed their colours nailed to the mast for all to see (OTO as the final line on the A side cover anyone?, and that's just for starters with that album).

It took me a few years of looking into it quite deeply, but this is not good stuff :(

Update: It seems like the moon that is lit up corresponds to the current moon phase.

The new moon was lit up until the 11th/12th, and now the next phase is lit.

Yeah, I figured as much. It was close to New Moon when the new moon was spotted/highlighted on the site. Pretty neat though! I love these seemingly random but cool details :)

I was about to say the same. Also, Pilar Zeta has the same display of the moon phases on her website.

Here is the link to Pilar's website, look at the upper right hand corner

Cool :) And the icons too similar to those on the Coldplay website

Hello there!

I don't know if this has already been discussed or if it actually is so obvious that it doesn't need mentioning, but I just noticed today on the right top corner of the coldplay.com website that a different phase of the moon is highlighted according to the actual phase of the moon on that particular day. (Or maybe it's a coincidence so far, because I just noticed it today; I'll have to check back in a few days and see if it gets updated.)

I think someone had already pointed this out a few days ago (about a yellow circle at the end of the moon phases). It seems like it changed again. Curious...

Keep an eye out for this tomorrow...its gonna be new moon again :) The first new moon of 2016
