"Tears stream down on your face..."

Featured Replies

Which song or Coldplay related event made you cry much? Fans often relate tears to Coldplay music so I`d like to hear what happens inside of us when we cry to their music or may be an interview, concert, anything. What`s behind that?

Oh boy...*lol* Too many to mention? haha

What happens to me at least is that a song or even an interview would strike a chord with me in a particularly relevant time of my life where I not only can relate completely but its like it speaks to me personally! So it ends up being quite emotional for me. It mostly happens with songs, but I also remember getting emotional watching Chris talking to Lowe during the GS interview for example. Songs move me because I relate so closely in that time I hear them/they come out basically. I´ve experienced an uncanny sync with their releases for a few years now.

I've never cried during any song haha. Is something wrong with me lol?

God no haha I have this weird thing for example where I get very emotional but only one or two tears would fall and sometimes they dont even make it out of the eye *LOL* So weird :)

Haha I know what you mean!

Haha I know what you mean!

It can be so frustrating haha But on the positive side you dont waste any tissues hehe Though apparently it might be in our hormones. I actually read this some time ago:

"There are several studies over the years that have shown that men have larger tear ducts in their eyes, so that it is less likely for the tears to well up to the point of spilling over the eyelid onto the cheek"

And also that testosterone inhibits crying.

I kinda felt better after reading that, cuz I truly feel so emotional sometimes Im thinking im about to cry but I can not hehe So I was like whats wrong with me? hehe

^Interesting haha!

Well, one day I was so depressed and I started listening to A Message and I cried a lot, it made me feel lonely.

Haha yeah, something`s wrong :) Well, Jedi Leo explained or excused male population for being like stones even to Coldplay`s music :p

I usually cry even when I think of them, is something wrong with me? o_O ;) That`s because they really touch something deepest in me and provoce a reaction of soul. I don`t know why it happens, but just like we are connected with some strong, spiritual bond :gs::gs::gs:

I have never cried to any song ever. I'm a monster[emoji33]

I am a quite emotional and sensitive person. These songs can make me teary in the right circumstances (not burst out in tears, but you know, getting teary eyes):

Harmless

Fix You !!!

Paradise

Fly On

Harmless

Fix You !!!

Paradise

Fly On

I didn't expect paradise among those others =D

For me it's probably limited to politik, AROBTTH and the scientist maybe. But the last time is years ago..

yeah no I find it neat how different songs can have an impact on different people.

And yes, I think that moment is right away my favorite part of the song

I get emotional sometimes (at a coldplay gig for instance) but i never cry when listening to music, unless i'm already deeply troubled and on the verge of crying anyway.

The one time i REALLY cried to Coldplay was while watching a vid of their originally planned Tidal set from November 13th. I was really shaken up by the events and I watched the set the next day. HUGE, HUGE tears.

But other than that I'm usually fine haha

Yeah, unless there are some very specific circumstances I can never get really emotional about music.

I expected more emotional and crying people here:oops: Where are you? :D Now I'm gonna be shure that something's wrong with ME :p

I did not excuse the male population lol I can't speak for other males but I think crying and being emotional are good things if they are expressions of a soul in touch with emotions and love! :) so being emotional to me means I'm deeply touched by love :) but the actual production of tears is not under my control and yes apparently hormones have a lot to say in the matter haha

You're not alone! Haha matter of fact I was emotional throughout listening to the whole A head full of dreams for the first time. Each song just hit me deeply cuz it meant something personal to me and the music was so good and then having that colorful vinyl in my hands I was just overwhelmed with happiness haha

There are no specific songs though where I get emotional each time. It really depends on how it resonates with my life. Some that come to mind

Another's arms

Always in my head

A sky full of stars

Fly on (heck, all of GS lol)

Scientist

Paradise

Birds

Up&up

Every teardrop

Up with the birds

Lovers in Japan

And more

I guess I'm just a cold person

Of course not, at least I hope so, that`s the way you are and may be you`re better and warmer than someone who cries to everything, but in vain.

:arobtth::gs::mx::parachutes::vlv::x&y: You didn˙t excuse male population but that scientific/hormonal explanation of crying does excuse male and doesn`t make them less emotional, just like you said-hormones have a lot to say..

The same here :gs::gs:

I guess because it takes quite a lot to make me emotional haha

I remember once I was playing a game and the opening scene some of my fellow players (girls) went oh it's sooo sad you will soo cry. And I was like ok wow I'm prepared! And then I was like: but I didn't cry or got sad lol

And they went : meh you don't get it. And me: :(

Hehe
