Thanks, that's fantastic news!!

The DVD sounds promising!

50 GBP for the special edition box is a bit much... I won't buy that one.

But I hope we'll find out what's on DVD 2

DVD 2 contains special exclusive content.

  • Finally a new album from the band! Haven't heard the full album yet, just the 3 pre-released songs and they're great.

And we'll also get the beautiful animation to "The Lightning Strike" which always took my breath when I had the pleasure to see it live! :cheesy:

First of all:

YEAH!

Okay, talking about The Lightning Strike, I found a part of it:

I'm so looking forward to see the whole thing for I never saw the 16 minute version before. (Although I find that the video above gets a bit ... weird after the Origami space. I don't want to complain though. ;))

Holy shit this is really exciting!

Wonder what the new songs will sound like ... I don't know why but strangely I'm really looking forward to Dark Roman Wine.

November needs to come soon. :dead:

Make it 10 minutes with the traffic lights and hills.

haha...ok. i'll keep that in mind. :wacky:

Just read some wonderful news on the official site this morning...

[edit-ed...for brevity]

Wow, this sounds so promising! I'm especially looking forward to hearing the new version of "An olive grove facing the sea" and the songs by The Reindeer Section. :cheesy: And we'll also get the beautiful animation to "The Lightning Strike" which always took my breath when I had the pleasure to see it live! :cheesy:

so i take it this album's like our homework & revision from the guys for the Reworked Tour? :D

^Mig-El, you're in Mexico; I'm in Austin. Get your butt up here! :P

I WISH I COULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Money isn't on my side lately (or pockets should I say)

OMG I'm so excited about the Up to now I have to get my hands on that!!!!

So do I. :nice: And I probably kill someone at the music store when they don't have the album. Seriously. :dozey:

Sorry for the double post, but their new single airs today on BBC radio one and Gary will be introducing it via telephone. It's announced that the single will be played between 7 pm and 7.30 pm (UK time).

Go here for BBC radio one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/

I'm really excited what Just Say Yes will sound like. Oh my god, it'll be only then that I really realise that they are putting out another album this year. :nice:

Okay, I start talking to myself here in this thread - but seriously, I don't care. :P

The new song:

I actually loved it so much immediately. :wacky: Definetely one of my favourites by Snow Patrol and if they are going in that direction with the new album (the one after Up To Now) it'll be absolutely stunning. I think, I'm going to like that one then better than Eyes Open, and that means something for me! :cheesy:

ooh! Thanks for posting! Chances are pretty good that they'll play it on their tour... yay!! I'll get to hear it live! :wacky:

Well, don't know about the current tour.

But on the Reworked Tour for sure! :)

Let us know when you heard it live, okay? Maybe you can film a part of it? :smug2: I am really looking forward to what it sounds like live.

^ Well, I'm HOPING they'll play it on the US tour, since it's just been released. I will do my best to film it if they do! Btw, I now have my tickets in hand and I've convinced my friend to tag along!! October 6th will be here soon!!

Thanks for the youtube link! Wow - first time i've heard that song and i instantly really love it!! :wacky:

Ooh I love the new song.... So different... :D :D :D

It isn't released yet - it'll be release one week before the album, so it's the 2nd November then. Don't know whether they play it on tour before.

So did I!

Wow, I'm sooo happy right now. They released the Take Back The City video on my birthday last year and Just Say Yes aired a week before my birthday for the first time. :cheesy: Gotta love the boys. :D

wow awesome.

I got X&Y for a birthday and the next year the special edition of it hehe, those were food birthdays full of Coldplay.

This especially goes out to all the American Snow Patrol fans:

The boys will be guests on the Late Show with David Letterman this Thursday, September 24, 2009, and will probably perform one of the songs of "A hundred million suns"!

Source: http://www.cbs.com/late_night/late_show/show_info/this_weeks_guests.php

I don't know whether one can watch it in other parts of the world, but I'll see what I can do... Otherwise I hope that someone will record it and put it on youtube later because there's also a tiny little chance that they might even perform their new song "Just say yes"... Who knows? :D

So except of Crack The Shutters they are not playing anything from AHMS? Well, they go for the hits as support act, I guess.

@ giulls

They look good in white, but it's so different to see Nathan wearing anything else but black.

Made a few screen shots if anyone is interested. They are pretty small according to the size of the video player.

A little late, but I just heard the new song. I think it's decent (along with the video). A little different and somewhat basic, but decent. I'd definitely like to hear it live.

Speaking of setlists, anybody seen setlists for the U.S. tour so far? (not the U2 support acts) Just wondering what's in store.

Thanks for the setlist! :)

I still haven't listened to AHMS, so I was happy they played stuff I was familiar with haha.
