Has anyone thought about marriage?........... at 19?!!!!

Featured Replies

My mother brought up the fucking topic during lunch.

"Sarah dear, when the fuck are you going to get married? Your Father and I got married when we were 20......"

"Promise me dear that you will make me alot of grand children, it isn't that hard....... it wasn't hard for your Father and I, hell we even did it on the plane...." :o :o :o

and to make it worse

"when the hell are you going to start setting down, you've already fucked half the men in mexico...." :stunned: (well, not all)

What are your thoughts on marriage? I have no intention on getting married, the whole system is just screwed up.

I couldn't imagine getting married anytime in the next 5 years, at least! :stunned:

yeah give me at least another 10 years! :stunned:

I started thinking about marriage when I met Sérgio.. And it was so cool when proposed after 5 months together ! :nice: The sad thing is, we don´t have a place to live, don´t have a church date.. NOTHING !

i would definitely get married to my ex girlfriend  ...but things like university get in the way

No! I have to get a boyfriend first, that would help...alot. :)

Tell your Mum things have changed btw ;)

My parents are the opposite, well my mom (I don't talk to my dad about this kind of stuff). They're saying 20 is too young to get married, as you may choose the wrong person and a lot of people are still "finding themselves", financially unstable, and possibly immature at this age. It could also all crash down in the future and you'll be left in the ruins.

Tell your parents that you need time to find the right guy.

Have I considered it (at 19 and now at 20)? Yes. There is someone I'd consider marrying, but considering my logic, the stats are against it... and it isn't a possibility right now.

Getting married at 19? No, in my opinion!

There's an age for everything and at 19 it's time to studying, going out with friends, travelling, having fun...

There will be lots of years to be more responsible, to get married, to get a house and to have children

:stunned:

Don't know about the marriage thing, but I think your Mum had too much to drink!

As for me,.... I dunno, I wanna get married in early 20's or so. My parents did, and I don't want to get hitched and have kids when I'm 30 or 40 and be rather old when my kids grow up.

But first I gotta find Mr Right for that! :P

:stunned:

one of my really good friends here got married when she was 18...and has been married now for a year + :stunned:

and i know another who would have gotten married (from what i could tell), if things had worked out...but alas they didn't work out.

I don't know 'bout getting married at that tender age! I guess I'd get married between now and when i find a good match...lol which looks like it's not gonna happen forever!

Marriage at 19? Hell and No. One of my good friends got married and had a kid at 18!! I was a bridesmaid at her wedding. It was super strange.

yeah...very strange!

but i guess i'd rather these people be married and together than just have sex and then become like the millionth teen single mom! :/

she got married for the wrong reasons though. her parents are really strict and they basically forced her too. I mean, she loves the guy but i definitely think she wanted to make sure they were getting married for the "right" reasons. But last time i heard from her, they were doing well, so that's good.

the oldies don't seem to understand do they :stunned:

no, the oldies never understand...or well, never say never.

hardly ever :/ :(

Whoa. That's... like wow. Most strict parents I know wouldn't want their kids getting married so soon, especially as it could be for the wrong reason. Depends on the person's culture though, I guess, as you live in the same country as me. Good thing they're doing well.

your mom said fuck?

Im 21 and its the farthest thing from my mind.

it says you're 22~! :D :P

and yeah...my mom (or dad) have never said that word to me nor anything else that would mean go do 'it'. in fact, they're exactly opposite about it! :/
