Age of Leaving Home?

Featured Replies

Im moving up North a bit in 3 or 4 months and people are quite surprised as its a bit early for someone, but I dont see eye to eye with them here. Its only a year earlier then what age I should be leaving for college anyways.

What age did you leave home? Was it the right time? What age do you think is the right time to leave your parents, off into the world of independance?

As soon as i leave school....which is tomorrow :smug:

Hehe no i think i`ll move when im good and ready :)

I'm still here with the parents :dizzy2:

I'm not moving out til I'm about 20!  I have it too handy here :sneaky: :P

I moved out when I was 19 and came back exactly 2 years later. :stunned:

for some strange reason Jess, I always think you're alot older than me...but erm you're not......ok that was the most pointless post   :dizzy2:

I'm still at home and intend to stay here for a long time  can't even imagine living somewhere else.

So yeah, I won't even consider leaving home unless it's moving in with a potential-partner or something. But that's not gonna happen in the near future.

I moved out of my parents place when I went to university, which was 3 years ago now, so I was 19... and I will never ever live with them again. Its so much better on your own.

Im the only person to write 17, weird.

But yes, Jess seems so much older, I was just thinking there "Hmm Jess is like what, 20?" then I read she was 17 and wow thats so crazy. TOO crazy, almost.

For me, my college is nearby and I'll never make enough $$ so I'm still at home.

As it's my family's customs, I'll be living at home until I get married.

I'm still single, so this won't be for a long time.

moved out at 18 to go to uni...lived in bristol til I was 23..came back to live with parents til i was 25, now been in guildford with simon for like 18 months.

Anytime I want. And besides, I ain't right now. I don't have any money, and I'm not even 18 yet. Yeeeeesh.

Just to make things weirder: I thought Jess was older than me too (or at least as old) and I'm 2 1/2 years older than her.

i left, came back, left, came back, left. now next week i'm going back

oh i was 18 when i first moved out...then 19.

well i'm only 13 (14 next week :P ) so yeah, i still live at home.

I moved out when I was 18 to go to uni :D

But when I graduate, unless I get a job....and £££££, I will most likely move back until I get properly settled
