  13. Idk, they still played it safe with Orphans as the lead single they promoted the most, wish they would have chosen Arabesque instead. EL and COTW were also among safer choices, Cry Cry Cry was the only unusual one. Or was Trouble in Town an official single? I don't know if they will perform at the Brits, or will just be there to collect their Lifetime Achievement award (judging by the videos the Brits wanted fans to submit). If they perform, I'd rather have them do People of the Pride. Much more powerful message too. About the voting, well I gave them 20 votes from the two TikTok accounts I have every day, so they better win this thing 😄
  14. There are so many unreleased gems that would make far better songs than some of the actual stuff the band has released, but to name a few that stand out: A View From the Top Sweet Marianne Harmless A Ghost Solid Ground (Until the Water Flows Over) Bucket For A Crown Lukas
  15. If i remember correctly old Xylobands did not work in new concerts anyway because they have to be activated by a certain frequency or something? Anyway, yes, the band seems to have ditched Xylobands and gone with another company now. Maybe for environmental reasons, or maybe because the Xylobands owner was...well...not exactly nice to fans during the AHFOD Tour.
  16. Kudos for predicting Coldplay's next moves, except for the fact that it's POTP instead of Humankind!
  17. I like the live version of SJLT much more than the studio version. It was in the live (and Coldplay-only) setting of the AHFOD Tour that this song truly came alive imho. And about the collabs, Everyday Life showed how collabs, when done right, can add a lot of colour and value to an album. The collabs on Everyday Life felt organic and unintrusive, featured true musicianship and were not simply about adding a flashy name to a song to make it interesting to a wider target population. On MOTS, for a while I thought this was gonna be an album doing collabs right again, e.g. with the collabs on Human Heart, Coloratura and Infinity sign being of the "Everyday Life" type; even My Universe felt organic to me and BTS added something valuable to that song...and then they put Selena Gomez on Let Somebody Go and there it is again: the unnecessary, *big chart name* collab that adds nothing.
  18. It was unfortunately expectable and is probably, from a marketing point of view, an understable move to get the Selena target audience onboard (and let's face it, to collab with such a big name and NOT make it a single would probably be a snub to the other artist) but I wish they would have chosen Humankind or People of the Pride instead. I think Let Somebody Go is a weak song musically, and lyrically it's a rehash of Everglow. Especially for a band like Coldplay who has done much, much better ballads all throughout their career, their legacy (and now that they're drawing to a close there are not many more chances left to impact it) would benefit more from unexpected choices and demonstrating their bandwidth.

  23. Six years on and I stand by what I said on, apparently, the very day A Head Full of Dreams came out. Of course now we have Everyday Life as a new contender. Everyday Life is certainly the masterpiece of the Coldplay of the 2010s to me. But if I consider all of the band's discography, nothing else compares to AROBTTH as a masterpiece album and X&Y as a masterpiece collection of songs, and with the band catalogue drawing to a close sooner than expected, I'm a hundred percent certain nothing ever will.
  24. Hm, when the metal gate is down on the Bakery, that's a sign that no one is in. Could the sounds you heard have come from another apartment nearby?
