Eugene and Fredrick were envious of Chris because they had received negative responses. Only Phil was truly happy for Chris - he had been accepted to Oxford earlier this year and knew how it felt !

Funny how nearly all the newspaper online reviews I read list "Fun" as an example for an overtly happy song on the album along with HFTW and AOAL. So clear that these "reviewers" never even listened to it and just judged by the title. Thumbs down...

I know, Coldplay seem to have gone from mature to immature over the years. How weird. Maybe their next genre is gonna be children's songs ;)

I hope they take a loooong hiatus after the world tour. It's the only chance for us to get some of the old craft back (Don't necessarily mean the same style, but I mean pieces that are as artistically valuable). Their life situations need to move on and Chris needs to explore different kinds of music in what he listens to. Let's hope that one day he will have outgrown his 1D-Bieber-phase. But for some reason, I don't believe they would go on a hiatus for more than a year or something...

I have to say I disagree there...Viva La Vida had a pretty unique, great melody (that's why it became such a big hit instantly) and imho VLV is one of those rare masterpieces that will be remembered in fifty years to come...I'd say it's one of the most important songs of the 2000s.
