  1. Don't you know Chris ? I am sure you can answer the question for yourself :P
  2. I call it magic, I call it tragic. Wait for your call, love, ____________
  3. If the Super Bowl were in China, they could at least call it HYMN FOR CHINA.
  4. I think that their masterpiece is A Head Full Of Dreams. So nuanced, so deep, so rocky. Take Hymn For The Weekend and X Marks The Spot for example - in hundred years to come people will remember them as being masterpieces, defining songs of the century.
  5. And I will try to listen to AHFOD without getting a pain in the ears. I wanna be bigger, _____
  6. And it increases again a little when you hear Chris going on about how they are the best band in the world.
  7. @Jaytheblue: Welcome to the Oldplayer's pain.
  8. I, oh I, oh I, am feeling low, ooooooh, cause I feel low ! Cause you're not just anyone, you're a _______
  9. Haha, yes ! Worst thread to try looking for this kind of reassurance :P That being said, I'd say Birds sounds like indie pop.
  10. You may wanna check out this thread: www.coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/the-ultimate-oldplaying-thread-s-bs-tbr-p-arobtth-x-y-vlv.104785/ :)
  11. I think so too, since Jonny mentioned that he was preparing to play it "soon".
  12. Yep, here: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/ticket-exchange-face-value-sales.105257/page-2#post-5776401
  13. Considering what else has been around in the world of music in the last 15 years and what is perceived as "cool", it always annoys me to see all that hate for Coldplay. They may not have been one of the most original/frontier-pushing bands ever but for over a decade they have made great songs with great instrumentation and the most beautiful melodies. I wouldn't listen to something that sounds artsy or cool but has a dull melody just because it is artsy or cool. Coldplay is beautiful.
  14. I wonder why vinyl still has that appeal today (I feel the appeal too, but unfortunately I don't have a player). For some reason it feels like a special way to play music. Is it our 60s/70s nostalgia shining through ? I don't know. I'd be interested if some of you could explain their feelings about vinyl so I can better understand why people love it :)
  15. a puppet, so is it LiT ii ?
  16. I ran away replied to getithom's topic in Army Of One
They are for sure still among the more genuine big music acts out there, overall.
  17. The album version of Amazing Day actually starts out with bird chirps mixed with the guitar line. Bird sounds have been on Fly On too (made my Jonny that time), so I feel they are a tad overused by the band.
  18. Imho there are far too many random bird sounds on this album (HFTW, Amazing Day...) so I'm really glad they are not on Birds as well.
  19. My ranking: 1. Fun (emotional highlight of the album) 2. Birds (close second, on the same level as Fun) 3.-12. THE REST
  20. You mean the kid autotuned ? Nah, come on she is three years old :P
  21. OMG, I used to think half of the overlaid female voices and especially the "lalalala tadaaa tadaaahaaa" part is Blue Ivy (cause it doesn't sound like Beyonce too much as I know her). I thought Blue Ivy was the age of Apple or something. And now I read she is a toddler !!! Means all those parts are sung by Beyonce. And where does Blue e come in now ?

    Hell yeah.
