I had the same feeling. Someone said the transitions were a bit awkward - that's true. Could've done a better job on beginning and end too. Also, I have the feelings the snippet part before the Chris buildup should've been repeated twice before the buildup and chorus - that would feel more "right".

I can hardly hear Beyonce's voice in that... To be honest, if you forget for a moment this is Coldplay and that you have higher/different expectations of this band, I think this is a good RnB song (melody-wise) and fulfills its purpose of being upbeat and catchy. Not too bad overall.

Yeah, to be honest one of the annoying things aout AHFOD are the chopped-up random backing vocals in many of the songs - Do It do it in Army of One, Jifadaeeeh magic magic in AOAL, Up(up) in Up&Up and so on...

There's definitely twice the line "We'll be birds" in there. Birds was one of the better tracks of AHFOD imho. Was anyone else SCARED TO HELL in the very end though ??

Ever since GS I had the feeling Coldplay were done, and now I see my thoughts confirmed. This album is as bland and meaningless as a Coldplay album can get (I don't hate every single track, for example I quite like Birds to be honest, but it all feels fake and plastic and not genuine). Also, I have the feeling every angle of the Chris-Gwyn relationship/breakup has been examined to death and I hope I don't have to listen to any further song about it ! Seriously, Coldplay's themes were more varied in the old days.

I really liked the live version of AHFOD, but I'm so annoyed at the studio production. Completely ruined the vibe of the song for me.
