Dear all, I have had this idea for a while now, and the fact that everybody seems to be working at some kind of project (be it audio editing, art, or something else) has encouraged me to go on with this. The working title currently is a line from Fix You, as you can see in the thread title. At this stage I don't yet want to divulge what it is all about. Don't expect too much - it is neither a form of audio nor something visual. The nice thing is, once it is out, everyone can contribute to it and expand or modify it. Release Date: DELAYED

A View From The Top is one of my favourite Coldplay songs ! I often listen to it despite the awful quality of this soundcheck recording. The main melody and the chorus are so awesome, I cannot understand why this was never properly recorded and released. These are things that I don't understand...

That's what I had been hoping for, too. But after the two recent statements by Chris stating they wanna break with the concept of having to be a rock band, do you honestly believe there is still a chance of this happening ? :(

Yay ! :D Did someone make the entire count ? If not I will do it in the following days - I'm so curious as to how the other songs performed.

It will not be their last album. They will either sign on to another label or create their own and continue to make the music they want to do, which I have the feeling will be very mainstream and poppy. Since every album has been different though, it will not have thex exact feel as MX or AHFOD. But they will go on. The only thing I could imagine is them going on hiatus for 1-2 years maybe.

On "I Ran Away": I do not see the song as being so dark. To me, it creates an atmosphere of melancholy and nostalgia. I do not know how to visualize it (and Batman has to decide for herself) but I could picture someone walking a long road at dusk, deep in thoughts, leaving a previous life behind. Can you do AROBTTH, maybe ? For this I could envision a man quietly watching a house burn down. :)

Yes. Nobody is complaining that one album was different. But we know now that Coldplay made an irreversible U-turn in musical style post-Viva and we simply do not approve of what we consider throwing the band's soul into the garbage bin and joining in the mainstream trend of producing superficial pop music instead. This thread, however, is not just an anti-Newplay thread. Here we have a space to appreciate what we consider Coldplay's best work, their early work. About Proof: Proof is such a nice song. It is the perfect example of how melody, vocals and instrumentation can make up for cringeworthy rhyming book-level lyrics. I love Proof :)
