  1. I also love Broken Social Scene. Those of you who like them, and haven't heard the Stars or Metric, should also check out those bands. Canadian indie is amazing!
  2. Yup, I've heard of him, and enjoy him very much. I don't know what of his you've listened to, but he has three great albums: "Illinois", "Seven Swans" and "Michigan". The amazing thing about Sufjan is that he plans to make an album for every state of America (that's 48 more to go for him) and in between, he makes amazing records like Seven Swans. I don't know how he'll do it, but we'll see how far he gets!
  3. I think that between the Britts and the Juno's in Canada, at one of them at least, they will play their new single. But I doubt that we'll hear anything like Twisted Logic, or basically anything too unexpected. I wouldn't be surprised if they played Talk again at the Britts ...

When did we find out that it was White Shadows for sure? I really would be thrilled if it was I just don't want Talk because its been done, and its very poppy, and I feel like the Grammy's should have something special. but it looks like it will be Talk .... that's all I'm sayin
  5. Arcade Fire songs: Rebellion (Lies) "Everytime you close your eyes, liiieeeeeees, liiiiieesss" Neighbourhood #1,2,3,4 Wake Up "Something, has filled up, my heart, with nothing, someone, told me not to cry" It's very indie sounding, and Chris Martin has proclaimed that they are the best band in the world ever on numerous occassions.

So they showed some videos of coldplay's soundcheck at the grammy's and apparently it was all "Talk". Lets hope there's some twist here .... I don't want to just hear Talk!!
  7. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face "sick of the secrets"
  8. Oh and one obvious one that I forgot from that list was the new Coldplay album!!
  9. Solid Ground (also known as "The Water") "... I have spoke with you"
  10. There are a lot of great albums that are scheduled and rumoured to come out this year. We've already had the release of two greats in my oppinion (The Strokes and Jack Johnson's Curious George Soundtrack). What else are you all looking forward to for this year? I would say that for me the following are all highly anticipated: 1. John Mayer - Continuum (Springish) 2. Outkast - Idlewild Soundtrack (March 7) 3. Damien Rice 3. Arcade Fire (Late 2006) 4. Kanye West - Graduation (October) 5. The Shins (May) 6. Dr. Dre - Detox 7. Iron and Wine 8. The Flaming Lips 9. Maroon 5 10. The Fugees 11. Goo Goo Dolls 12. Keane 13. Yeah Yeah Yeah's 14. Jet 15. Ben Harper (double disc) 16. The Streets 17. Cat Power 18. The Vines 19. Wilco 20. The Thrills 21. Wilco 22. Red Hot Chilli Peppers 23. Jurassic 5 That list was a lot longer than I thought it would be lol
  11. I am a huge John Mayer fan, but i totally agree with you that a lot of people think he's just about "Your Body is a Wonderland", but he's got plenty of time left in his carreer to prove them wrong. His albums to date have been amazing, and the trio stuff is so different from anything else around these days. I can't wait for his new album Continuum. Crawlinwithin have you ever seen him live? I've seen him solo twice, and the trio once, and let me tell you, its pretty magical. 20 Artists and groups that I think are underappreciated (in no particular order): 1. The Arcade Fire 2. Bell Orchestre 3. Stars 4. Broken Social Scene 5. K-Os 6. Matt Costa 7. Jon Brion 8. Ron Sexmith 9. The Album Leaf 10. Imogen Heap and Frou Frou 11. Jurassic 5 12. Richard Ashcroft and the Verve 13. KT Tunstall 14. Sufjan 15. Metric 16. Iron and Wine 17. The Stills 18. The Strokes 19. Binary Star / Blackalicious 20 Bedouin Soundclash
  12. Recently I've been thinking that I wouldn't mind a longer acoustic set with a few variations. They currently play: 1. Til Kingdom Come 2. Ring of Fire 3. Trouble/Green Eyes I think it would be cool to hear Sleeping Sun in there, as I've mentioned before. I also think that as they seem to be talking more and more about the Beatles these days, it might be cool for them to play something like Blackbird in there. I'd also like to hear Sparks, Warning Sign, and See You Soon make their way into this part of the show! So basically for me this would be a good totally different line-up: 1. A Message 2. Sleeping Sun 3. Blackbird 4. See You Soon/Sparks 5. Warning Sign

I also hope it's not Talk, as I've expressed a few times now. I don't think that they perfrom it poorely, I just think that they've played Talk on the majority of their Television appearances since the release of X&Y. I also think that the band plays really well, but Chris doesn't always sing it that well. But from the pictures it really does look like Talk. I still have my fingers crossed for Twisted Logic, or Low, or X&Y or something like that! I really think they need to do something artistic with this performance!
  14. Sorry, I might be a bit slow, but ... I don't get this clue. "What was not what if ..."??
  15. d.B.g replied to chlorofit's topic in Coldplay
Yeah I agree with Corum, they shouldn't play Talk or Speed of Sound, they've played both many many times on television appearances. I think that playing Politik a few years back was an amazing choice, and doing with the orchestra, gave it that once in a lifetime performance feel. It was a much more heartfelt performance than what I've seen them do on TV appearances this year. So, Fix You would be a great choice, but ideally, I'd think that it shouldn't be one of their singles. My top choices are: 1. Twsited Logic 2. Square One 3. Fix You 4. X&Y with an orchestra providing strings 5. How You See The World (though not likely)
  16. nevermind, i can answer my own question, i just looked up some old setlists on easytoplease and they used to play two encores towards the end of the AROBTTH tour hmm I'm thinking its about time they start again
  17. I know they haven't in the past year, but does Coldplay ever do 2 encores? They should in any case!!
  18. lol ifeelowohno, that wasn't me, but I also saw that, it was pretty funny! I guess a few of us were in the same boat that day!
  19. I know how you feel, that's how I felt last May, before seeing them at the secret gig in Toronto. I desperately wanted tickets, and couldn't get them in the general sale, and for the month after that looked everywhere I could for tickets, and finally the day of the concert I got tickets from some guy who heard that I wanted them, that I'd never met lol. My girlfriend and I went and had the best time! The most magical night ever, nothing can top it. I'm sure you'll have a blast!
  20. I like that set Sarah, especially Ode in there lol
  21. I left out in my place and the scientist only to bring some variety to the set, i didn't know what else to substitute lol! but obviously, ideally, i would like to hear those two as well!
  22. Based on the shows in Seattle and Vancouver, it seems that most people are kind of hoping for a "spiced up" set list for the rest of the dates on this leg of the tour. I was just wondering what you guys had in mind? Here's a setlist that I think would be great, and still possible: 1. Square One 2. Politik 3. Shiver 4. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face 5. Yellow 6. Speed of Sound 7. Warning Sign 8. Spies 9. How You See The World 10. What If Acoustic Set 11. Till Kingdom Come 12. A Message 13. Sleeping Sun 13. Trouble 14. Daylight (even though I don't like this song that much!) 15. Clocks 16. Talk 17. Twisted Logic Encore 18. Amsterdam 19. Swallowed In The Sea 20. X&Y 21. Fix You This is probably quite optimistic, but its a longer set, which I think would be great for this leg, and its got some variations. A longer acoustic set, ending with twisted logic, a longer encore are all things that I'm hoping for!
  23. can you post a link to the mp3 you have of it?
  24. This has quite possibly been discussed before, but I was just wondering why on the Live 2003 DVD it says Disc 01 on the DVD, as if to suggest that there are multiple discs? I'm fairly certain that there's just the one disc, but I've always wondered why it says that ... anyone know??
  25. I don't think they want to stop touring at all between Australia and South America. They might take a short break, chill with family, and set-up and record some of their new songs at their new studio they've bought in England, but after that (or before) I wouldn't be surprised if they did a few dates in Asia. They seem to have a reasonable size fan base in Japan and China at least ... who knows?!
