4th Coldplay Album "Fast, Dark And Heavy"
Why are so many people scared of change? Because they're morons. Coldplay fans in particular are a little apalling in this department; we're only on the third album after having made gradual evolutions, and people already want a total return to the Parachutes formula. I mean, I love that formula, but you're just fans. They don't owe you anything, you owe them. So indulge them their experimentation, if they actually wind up going that direction. I guarantee you that if they do, there will be an eventual return to Parachutes' simplicity. They should shuffle into the studio and record a little something before they change their minds, I'd say. Don't just let the idea decay in an idle quotation... moron? speak for yourself thanks. try some fans like myself just actually DO NOT like coldplay's 'darker' songs. i'm not scared of change. coldplay can evolve however the fuck they want, it doesn't mean i have to like it.

The Official "Doves" Thread
^^ you really hate the docks eh!? i've only been there once and i was pretty close so it didn't really phase me, but yeah it's not a typical favoured venue. i've been browsing ticketmaster. so, many, concerts. not, nearly, enough, money. bloc party, metric, doves, the bravery....booooohoooo.

4th Coldplay Album "Fast, Dark And Heavy"
boo, if fast, dark, and heavy means i have to suffer through more songs like 'low' and 'twisted logic' then i am so out of here. but if he's meaning more 'white shadow' type songs, yay!

Which band sounds the most like coldplay to you?
well, i use to always bak at those 'this band sounds like coldplay' comparissons because they were always way off (i still don't believe keane sounds like coldplay...) but thirteen senses' track 'into the fire' gave me goosebumps. i dunno why, but it really reminded me of coldplay parashutes era.

DIG!
i heard of thos film awhile back and have been wanting to see it for awhile...i should check if it's made it's way to dvd yet.

Wedding Crashers!
yeah, i loved it. vince vaughn was on a friggin' roll. it dragged a bit there at the end, but all in all great movie.

Mark's Britney Spears Thread
i think chaotic could have really been a bigger hit had they done it in a cutsey 'newlyweds' style. the shows had no point or plot and you didn't really see them 'fall in love' you just saw that they were two kids who really liked screwin'.

WHAT MOVIES YOU WANT TO SEE

Jennifer Aniston's VF article
i dunno though, i don't believe that's what angelina was doing. she was someone who wasn't looking for relationships...from what i gather from past interviews she was perfectly content never marrying or forming a relationship for the rest of her days. she had her son and kept her 'sexual cravings' content with lovers...she said if she found another man that she would introduce to her child he would have to be father material. so whatever connection these two had must have been strong, at least on her end. blaaah, like i really know anything...i just think angelina jolie is a more honest person then that...then to purposely seduce brad away from jen. if anything it was more like brad persuing angelina. don't blame the 'man stealer', blame the man.

Jennifer Aniston's VF article
i just read the whole article yesterday at chapters. interesting...i dunno. i never cared for her much, always thought she was a little overrated as an actress, but my heart was shaken a little for her. i've got to say though, i think brad and angelina make a really interesting couple. i can see why they'd be attracted to one another, i just think it's a shame jen was hurt in the process...but hey now she's got the world rooting for her. career wise, she can do a lot from here. just look at nicole kidman's life after tom cruise -- beter parts, better scripts, an oscar....

House, M.D. (Spoilers!)
i don't watch this show, but i kind of root for it to do well. i like all the actors on the show. that one character, the older doctor -- he's made himself quite the lil' following!

The Aqualung Thread
i think aqualung and ben folds should tour together.

Maximo Park
it wouldn't surprise me to hear their overrated...but to be honest i've never heard a word about them and not many people i know that are really into music ever spoke about them. they must be big in europe, right? because in canada and the states their virtually unknown i'd say?
-
Maximo Park
ooh that's neat! so i take it you never saw them pre-fame (well not that their really all that famous...).
-
Aussie Bands
i adore the song 'my happiness' by powderfinger. i keep meaning to d/l a few more tracks by them, but i have a feeling they won't resenate the same way as that one song did with me.

The Jeff Buckley appreciation thread (November 17, 1966 - May 29th , 1997)
haha, i dunno about that...making more then one topic about an artist is a pretty big no-no around here, but i'd say the buckley is worth it.

i've always enjoyed this song. people keep ragging on it's cheesey sound, but i think it's fantastic.
