  1. i like the melody and the sound of chris' vocals, but i dispise the song lyrcally. it's childsplay next to any of the tracks on the prior albums.
  2. the where abouts of my antics disc is still unknown. boo. gah, interpol. so good. i think they have some of the most interesting lyrics of any band out there today. plus, you can't beat paul banks voice...it's completely ear wretcheningly good. it's just raw. i adore it. great pictures of the guys. keep em coming!!
  3. i was wondering if they were ever gonna come out with a new album! i kind of randomly got into them late after they released 'room on fire'. i really, really liked that album's sound, which is funny cause i believe most of their fans didn't. anyway, looking forward to a new album from them.
  4. i had known nick drake's music before i ever knew his name. he's a great artist, or was anyway. in my rock and roll history class that i took first year we discussed him. it was interesting. i guess he was painfully shy and had awful stage frieght. even if it was 12 die hard fans he would be trembling backstage.
  5. interpol. hands down.
  6. cold_kitty replied to Pindaric's topic in Coldplay
blargh. starfish. i think i knew that at one point, but glad that name got tossed.
  7. that's a tough, tough question. there are tons of lyrics i really liked...but i've always been a fan of warning sign's come on in, i've got to tell you what a state i'm in. i've got to tell you in my loudest tones...
  8. ha, i remember in the coldplay live on much they had a snipit of an interview where chris said "if i thought i was good enough to make it as a solo artist, i would but i'm shit". and then he was like "same goes for jonny i think...would you ever go solo?" "no, i don't think i would" "will you take me with you if you do?" i'm paraphrasing but, ha. so cute.
  9. i hear more people trashing much music now more then ever. i think in terms of programing it's gotten a little more interesting, but still half of their 'much specials' like young and loaded for example are terrible rip-offs of vh1 shows. and don't even get me started on the current selection of vjs. they are awful. good looking, but awful.
  10. what makes john really cute to me is the fact that he's not really all that different...you could pick a guy that dresses and looks like him off the street. he's your average good looking guy. i like that. makes you relate to him in a way. that voice though, that's an above average voice...
  11. 'blue light' bloc party.
  12. i've been wanting to see them again since i saw them last october. they are so great live. i never really thought about the fact that paul banks isn't your typical frontman...he doesn't really play around and entertain crowds -- that's not who he is and i think that's cool. oh yeah, everyone hear how the world is ending because hot topic is selling interpol merch? sighshudder.
  13. ahhh snow patrol. i forget if i ever posted about how great they were live at the kool haus in may. i love their new bassiest. paul is it? he was adorable.
  14. yeah, i wasn't sure if it was just because i was too close or if the sound was messed. another girl said they sounded much better the last time they were there with ash. they were good though. i love their look, authentic or not - it's fun. i also loved that right before 'honest mistake' sam walks off stage into the backroom and then comes back on wiping his nose and sniffing. i don't blame him for needing a pick-me-up before singing that song for the millionth time...
  15. opera house.
  16. yeah, i'm interested too. i'll have to go download that...
  17. the show was awesome. i was right up front. for some reason i feel like if i was anywhere else i wouldn't have enjoyed myself as much. the sound was a little whacky, but the music still rocked. i would recommend seeing them live to anyone...just be up close. sam and michael really play it up with the crowd. plus i was able to meet the band after the show. well, 4/5 of the band. i had a two hour drive ahead of me and dirt was taking too long... but john, anthony, and sam were sososo nice. michael was nice too, but just signed stuff and left. not very talkative. iheartthebravery.
  18. yeah, i've never successfully gotten my camera into the acc..but i've never tried to hide it. the acc are jackasses, unlike most venues...they might swipe your camera if they see you using it. depending on where you are. my friends were second row for a concert and got theirs swiped, but i'm sure if you are farther from the stage there's a better chance they will ignore you using it.
  19. argh. i only caught the last ten minutes or so.
  20. oh that's so nice, good work!
  21. the song 'a message' makes me think of my ex and the fact that i'm not gonna regret or take back the time we had. it makes me happy and hopeful and ready to try this whole 'relationship' thing again. heh.
  22. yeah, you guys made a good point about his lyrics. they are pretty clever and original.
  23. i'm seeing the bravery tonight. yesssssss. i am actually so friggin' excited. this is going to be a heck of a show. plus, i get to do a little toronto shopping, holla.
  24. see, i get speed of sound. i get 'lights will ignite your bones'. i DON'T get how someone cutting down a tree and bringing it back to him made him see anything. i don't understand the lyric at all.
  25. there's simple and then there's amature and that's how swallowed by the sea comes off to me (hey, i rhymed as well as chris martin there). i love coldplay, but i can't defend that song.
