i've only heard a few songs by this band, but i really like what i've d/led so far. i also can't get over how much their new single sounds like it should be on a modest mouse album. it's probably just me who thinks that though. anyway, good band.

'last goodbye' without a doubt. i adore that song.

oh i'm a keane fan, for sure. i've been trying to see them live, but every time they come to toronto i hear about it too late or don't have the money right away and end up missing out. boo. i like them though. i remember the first time i heard 'somewhere only we know' i was just floored. i loved it.

i love john mayer because not only is he talented and good looking, but he's damn funny too.

well, i've given my vote to radiohead because they have the best track record of all those bands.

i was really lucky to catch ben folds opening for tori amos two summers ago. he was awesome. really entertaining guy. a little bummed i missed out on catching him when he comes to toronto in august with rufus w.

ahh yes, le oc. i knew they'd sample the bravery sooner or later. i'm seeing the bravery do their thing live in less then a week in toronto. i am so excited. though i've heard a lot of people say how awful they are live (spin magazine even mentioned that they aren't that impressive in concert) so i'm a little worried i'm going to go and their going to ruin my whole perspective on them. haha.

i don't care for the majority of the lyrics on the album and i completely hate the fact they use SPOONS. i can't take spoons seriously. they ruined 'low'.

coldplay is never played enough in my opinion. haha.

ha. i know, the first time i heard that lyric i was like 'are you serious? you wrote that, read it back to yourself, and then said 'yes! that's it!'

swallowed in the sea is one of the most horrible songs, lyrically speaking, chris has ever penned, but i still love it. fine, i understand the song is suppose to be simple...but that's not much of an excuse for some of those lame rhymes.

nice. looks like a magazine worth checking out.

when did coldplay say they would never appear on a soundtrack? granted i read in Q magazine them saying they didn't want to lend their sound to commercials where their music would be pushing products...but in a movie (especially a good movie like garden state) their music was only used to enhance a mood or give emotion to the scene. if the music is used well, it's no crime.

after 'fix you' the next two singles should be 'talk' and 'a message'.

yeah. i was underwhelmed after a first listen. give it a few more spins. it'll grow on you.

i haven't tried it myself, but my one friend said it's incredible how syncronized some of the movement in the movie is with the rhythm of the music. it's like 'how could it not be planned!!??'.

i saw low millions live a few months back in a small club in toronto. they were great. they played a really short set (35 minutes) and then came out and mingled with the crowd. my friend and i were the youngest people there by a good 10 years. ha. it was great. anyway, low millions...good band! their album is fantastic. adam cohen has a gorgeous voice.

yes, chris martin has written some beautiful songs...but i can't defend some of his lyrical work on X&Y.
