  1. Right. That still doesn't answer any of my questions or resolve the fact that I have never heard of the guy. Don't be so quick to assume that I'm ignorant, but just because he's saying something the media is not does not put any merit behind a angry man's rants against the government. I've heard people like him on the streets of NYC, pratteling on about government conspiracies and their 1984 control over us and what we hear. I have no doubt that government is corrupt, as it always has been through the history of time. Power rots people. I know this. I am probably just as 'enlightened' as you are, oh all-knowing one. But for a government to do something like this, to orchestrate something as catestrophic as 9/11 would NOT be corrupt. It would simply be evil and twisted. I'd like to retain a bit of faith in the human's ability to reason and be compassionate than to so readily accept the fact that my government killed 3,000 people to justify a fucking war. And I can tell you that I don't believe this not because I'm a "brainwashed youth of America", but because it simply is not reliable, doesn't make any sense, and does not begin to present even the faintest hint of convincing evidence to make me go "Well, damn... maybe it's true". Some things just happen. There's ALWAYS someone who will find someone to blame and point fingers at. It's human nature. And thanks for ignoring the rest of my post.
  2. I would rebuttle this; ask why in the hell you think some random fat guy interviewing people from the streets of NYC and talking about stuff he doesn't even know about can SINGLE-HANDEDLY uncover one of the largest, most elaborate conspiracies in the history ot the world; ask why in the hell a NYPD officer would be on it; ask why if so many thousands of people were in on it (the government, CIA, FBI, NYPD, NYFD, ect) why none of this has been exposed; why we didn't see the tell-tale signs of controlled explosives in the tapes; why the government, after crashing planes into the buildings, would feel the need to destroy them as well; why the pulling of tower 7 is such a vital role in this; how exactly do you know that steel can stand up to thousands upon thousands of degrees of burning jet fuel and then sustain the weight of how ever many floors AND a Boeing 747; where can you show me that there was evidence of explosives IN the buildings... So many things I can't even begin. But, unfortunately, I don't have 3 hours to type up something that you'll probably scoff at and then tell me that Bush worships Satan or something. It just bothers me that you expect me to beleive an inarticulate man whom I have NEVER heard of in my entire life and has no credibility whatsoever. It bothers me EVEN MORE that you actually believe this to be true. It's almost like I could make video detailing how the world is actually a virtual matrix run by giant aliens and you'd beleive me. You're so thoroughly and blindly convinced that it's frightening. Plus, I don't like the fact that people find 9/11 to be the perfect oppritunity to point fingers and call names and "bring down the man" so to speak to make themselves look like the better person. It doesn't work. I'd like to say though, that I am, by no means, a Bush supporter. I think he's a pretty bad president and has made some irreparable mistakes, but that does not equate to him having the mind to drive jumbo jets into buildings and killing his own citizens so he can go get more oil to line his bedroom with. Besides, a conspiracy as absurdly elaborate as the one detailed is giving him far too much credit. I'm keeping both eyes open. Maybe it was a conspiracy, maybe it wasn't, but I'm not going to be holding picket signs on street corners anytime soon until I get something better than this. That video was the most unconvincing shlock I've ever seen. I almost thought it was a joke. If you hadn't claimed it to be so solidly true, like it was the word of God or something, I may be able to give this a bit more thought.
  3. It's not that they've grown apatheticc and concieted, it's simply that they've become much more confident on stage. Jonny and Guy move around alot more and Chris talks and interacts with the audience. There's a certain personable atmosphere to a Coldplay concert that you wouldn't have gotten so much back in 2003-2000.
  4. Well, if you think about it, tey've changed lyrically through all three albums, but in some ways, they haven't. They go from a very optomistic, hopeful view on the world and people around them with "Don't Panic". It's almost a plea for people to stop being so cynical and wraped up in petty matters to enjoy the world around them. But then, you have "We Never Change" which points out the flaws in humanity and how they never seem to change, no matter what one does to mend their ways. This can give a very negative connotation to the world. And with a new album, you go from the gentle ballad of hope opening Parachutes to the explosive, anguished "Politik" hailing in A Rush of Blood. The song points out all that's wrong with the world and attempts to bring to light how the lowly are treated and the common rights they are denied, a clear contradiction to "Don't Panic". "Twisted Logic" is a murky, heavy song throwing insight to the future of the world according to its current state. While "Speed of Sound" marvels at the miracles often overlooked in life. These songs all show Coldplay's maturation as a band, but also how little they have changed. They all appreciate what the see, do and are given. They sing about things they care and know about and even though they've written several anguished, almost cynical songs about the world, Don't Panic and Speed Of Sound show that they still think that the world is beautiful and life is amazing. To say that Coldplay songs aren't sad anymore and are therefore not soulful, is a ridiculous conjecture. I agree that there are songs on X&Y that have edited out all human fraility, but if you really think about it, Coldplay still write about the same things they always have: the human life and mind. Even though it may not sond like it, "Talk" is about being lost and wanting to reach someone, but always falling short; "White Shadows" is about being part of a system, a cog in a tremendous wheel, the monotony and indiviuality-chrushing ways of society, ect... Chris is married. Chris is rich. Chris has a family. Yes. But he's still a human being. He still has problems and trials and tribulations and things to worry about. He will always have things to write about as long as he's still a person. As to what esel has changed in them... really only their stage presence.
  5. My sister's flying to Boston to see them in May. Unfortunatly, as I'm still a minor, my mom wouldn't let me miss anymore school so I can't gooo. :( She got second row center too. I basically hate her.
  6. Aww! Will is just too cute in that picture. Guy too. Chris looks like he just woke up. Jonny looks like he sees something tasty. O-o It's slightly suggestive actually.

  22. There's something almost tragic about it... the way that Chris is slouched over on Jonny like that, head hung low. I know that sounds weird... but I really like it... even without the Chris/Jonny curb appeal. :D
  23. I SO JUST POSTED THAT PICTURE ON MY LJ. Freaky. And the cut title was "Further proof why Chris Martin can name his child whateverinthehell he fancies".
