  1. Didn't think you were sighing at me, don't worry!!:)
  2. Arcade Fire!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I'm just getting sick of all this, that's all. I resent "artists" who do this, because it alienates whole groups of people from listening to their music. People like Liam Gallagher I don't mind slagging off other bands at ALL, because it's funny and done in jest. Plus Oasis is one of my favorite bands. However... When I see someone insulting two of my favorite groups (and saying totally untrue and totally unfounded things about them!), well... I'll never listen to Razorlight. I won't say they're bad, but I will never listen to them. And they could be AMAZING. But because of this crap, they're just another wannabe shitbag group. Hmph.
  4. heh, Thanks Steph! But the most thanks goes to Nettie, who gave me just enough rep to get it! :smug:
  5. I can handle some dickwad insulting Coldplay, indeed, I'm quite used to that. But U2? Oh, mother fucker, you just earned a spot on the top of my "When I Get A Gun These People Are The First To Go" list. :veryangry:
  6. I love seeing all the new members come out and give their support. It seems that the "lurkers" and "newbies" give even more support than some people who have been here for years! That makes me proud and sad in some ways, but I'm definately leaning more towards proud! :nice: Welcome Laura, and everyone!
  7. Oh, and incase you don't all know, Bono's been listed as one of the top 100 people who shape our world in Time Magazine! :nice: It was a very nice write up by Jesse Helmes!
  8. I hate this being so inactive. I miss their tour! So I guess I'll start posting news articles as they pop up. I got this one from Interference.com: Bono hopeful about 'breakthrough' in Sudanese peace Associated Press GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Rock star and activist Bono expressed hope Thursday that a peace agreement could be coming for the Sudanese region of Darfur. "We just got news on this very day that there's a potential breakthrough," Bono said during a speech to the Economic Club of Grand Rapids. "I ask you to pray for their success." Decades of tribal clashes over land and water in Darfur erupted into large-scale violence in early 2003, with rebels demanding regional autonomy. The central government is accused of responding by unleashing militias upon civilians, a charge that Sudan denies. At least 180,000 people have been killed and more than 2 million have been forced to flee their homes in what the United Nations has called the world's worst humanitarian crisis. Sudanese rebels cautiously welcomed U.S.-backed proposals to salvage a peace agreement for Darfur on Thursday. The international community urged them to finally accept the deal. About 2,000 people attended the sold-out annual dinner, which was open only to club members and their guests. Tickets cost $150 each. Past speakers include former Secretary of State Colin Powell. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/celebrities/3842771.html ++++++++++++
  9. Same here. Briggins, love the sig and avi! ;) I'm sooooooo damn excited for the album! aaah! Wow, I'm sitting here listening to 'Nothing In Your Way' (live, of course, I wish I could get a better version though...) and this is SUCH a great song...
  10. Oh man, yes. I just saw it today.... That man is hilarious, and I love the Jim Carrey face he pulled with the "LALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU" thing. Too priceless...
  11. Ok, thank you... Holy crap, I thought you like... thought he was completely serious about what he was saying. phew. I really love him and Jon Stewart, they make everything just seem so much better, funnier, and in all the years I've been watching the Daily Show and now the Colbert Report I hear a totally equal portrayal of both parties. Oh shoot, this reminds me... I have to go watch my TIVO'd episodes of TDS and Colbert Report from last night, and listen to them mock my state representative... LMFAO [/end thread hijacking]
  12. You are absolutely amazing. I cannot thank you enough..... wow. I think you from the child, and we'll get started on the actual sponsorship ASAP!!!!!:stunned: wow. The best I can do is give you rep points, that does not seem like enough...:stunned:
  13. lmfao, you don't actually take Stephen Colbert seriously? He's making a MOCKERY out of the administration, he believes nothing that he says he believes, not privately. My god, you don't think Stephen really hates gays and is more pompous than Bill O'Reilly, did you!?!?!?!?! Shit, son.... Well, I guess if you don't know him outside of The Daily Show or anything else then you might think that.... but still. holy crap LMFAOOOOOO *laughs*
  14. I'll keep my eyes on that page, thanks Nik! I really hope that I can score some, but I refuse to get any from scalpers. It's soooo upsetting... :veryangry: Well, I will live if I don't get to see them in June ;) Doesn't make them any less of a band to me. The whole ebay situation is truly disgusting, though. Does this happen everytime with their American dates?
  15. Fuck. Well, my mom went on this morning on TWO SEPERATE COMPUTERS and put in for tickets to their Boston shows. A friend of mine went on at 10 and did the same thing. Tickets=don't have any. And I am so fucking pissed off, I can't even describe it. I went on Ebay, and there are 5 pages of tickets $400+ from just their Boston show. What the FUCK. *repeats mantra* I will not let this affect my views towards Radiohead, I will not let this affect my views towards Radiohead *end mantra*
  16. mmmmm staaarssssss  LOL! I miss Arnie too... what the hell... :(
  17. I think telling Nik to stop listening to Radiohead is like walking into a bible study and telling everyone that Jesus had 47 kids with prostitutes. Some things are just not to be touched....
  18. Uh......... She now has 60 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. That would make me just want to die. How the hell do you buy gifts for all those kids?!?!?!
  19. Hey! Faust has a point!:veryangry: Listening to Radiohead and sitting online all day turns your brain into mush and shrivels your penis!!!! Or something like that. *turns Radiohead up*
  20. LMFAO it's horrifying... but it might spice things up a little bit.... Imagine... billions of people with just one post...... Ok. That does not sound fun anymore.
  21. I dunno, though... I think if everyone's in a constant state of "leaving" then this place will always be boring. Coldplay needs to make a tour, then cancel it all the night before so a bunch of new people join and give everybody a nice kick in the ass!:wink3:
  22. mmmm Joaquin  Jake! One of my first crushes ever... And no post of mine, in this thread, would be complete without an Alex ;)
  23. I do!
  24. ^Amen. :snore: Bling was kind of useless to me, even though the gambling was pretty amusing ever now and then... I'll live without it, though.
  25. Charity of the Month is a great idea Allie! We could write things up about it, give a link to where on the website people can donate, or get involved, etc etc! I'm more than willing to write things for a newsletter. I'm pretty good at researchy stuff, maybe I could write a commentary on ending poverty or AIDS or something every now and then?? :wink3:  I just thought of something that's related to the Charity of the Month idea... What if we did something like "crisis" of the month. Or "country" of the month. Obviously, not talking about developed western world countries here. I mean like focus on an issue, humanitarian crisis or third world country/region that needs attention. Then provide links for everything we can find that pretains to it? That could be worthwhile!
