Slowed down the Intro :D
Whoa cool. I remember the Oracle saying it was his singing sped up, surprised no one tried this before.

Sigur Rós influence
Not sure I see a Sigur Ros influence here yet...perhaps the interlude between the two parts, but I hear What a Wonderful World for sure. Second part reminds me of 42.

What an epic song!
Like The Escapist meets What A Wonderful World... can hear both in the first half, and then drop in 42 for the second half. Amazing.

One thing I noticed after repeated listens...
Very interesting if it is one song with two parts. Great observation!

My favorite song on the album
I thought Charlie Brown would be my favorite on the album, then came this beauty! Wow, I love it! Also reminds me of Things I Don't Understand but reminds me a lot of one of my favorite Sigur Ros songs, "Inní mér syngur vitleysingur"

Up in flames studio version is amazing
Feels like it's missing something.... Then I thought... this almost sounds like Solid Ground, and a bit like Proof.

Dan Wheldon Dies After 15 car Indycar crash
Sometimes I hate the sport I love... yesterday was one of those days.

First Impressions of Mylo Xyloto (and vote in the 1-10 sliding scale poll!)
Beautiful and uplifting...just what I need after two tough days. Initial reaction is 10/10, of course gotta give it a few weeks at least before comparing and dissecting further.

Dan Wheldon Dies After 15 car Indycar crash
Very sad, watched it live and was speachless when the wreck occurred. Watched him win the championship in 2005 in Fontana. Such a sad day.

Chris Martin Quotes
From an Atlanta Concert before playing Trouble with Elton John: "Chris: The reason why we haven't been talking much is because we felt it was important to play with our whole heart and soul, because the last time we came to ah.. Crowd: screams Chris: wait, let me, don't, there's no point in screaming at that, I haven't said anything good. The great thing about being a pop star is everyone screams at everything you say and then you go home and you think you're the whittiest person in the world and everyone just looks at you weirdly... anyway, but uh, last time we came here we were feeling pretty shit.. Crowd: a guy yells Chris: what? sh.. I'm in the middle of a speech man... I'm sorry, sorry, anyway..."

Coldplay on the Colbert Report Oct 19
I believe they have stand-by available, show up and fill in unclaimed or no-show seats. That's the way it was for Conan when I went for a taping earlier this year. Seems to be similar for many of the shows out here in CA, and from what I read the NY shows as well. I'm sure, sadly, there will be those who reserved seats months ago, find out it's an hour of Coldplay and ditch... you never know.

ETIAW Video out now!!
Just woke up and saw the new video! first thoughts... Los Angeles or Chicago skyline? I can't tell Strawberry Swing, and color.. omg the color... Will's drumming at the end = awesome Can't wait to see you guys break down all the graffiti art looking for album clues haha Maybe it's their point to start the song kind of jerky with the stop motion, and make it more smooth flowing towards the end. And I've really grown to love this song.

Glastonbury to be shown on US TV
Got it on VH1 right now, awesome HD picture, much better than the JTV stream. Was hoping for surround sound, but it's only in stereo, oh well, still awesome!

2011 Live Shows in Online
Thanks for all the info. Watching from California, unfortunately don't get Pal, have VH1 but that's much later tonight, and don't know if they will cut/edit anything. Hopefully the JTV stream will be up so I don't have to fuss with a proxy.

Rate 'Moving To Mars' now!
Didn't read all the posts... but the piano at the beginning reminds me a lot of that classical piece he played after Politik during the Viva tour. Amazing and beautiful song. I was disappointed my Major Minus (studio release at least, Live is amazing), but this really makes up for it. Haven't felt this good about song since I discovered Arcade Fire.

Major Minus Media?
Media brain washing stuff? Interesting theory, but didn't Muse do that already? This is all starting to have a Muse feel to it now.

Major Minus
Love this song, definatly reminds me of A Rush of Blood To The Head (the guitar has a similar echoy sound from Live 2003).

[4-June-2011] Coldplay @ Rock am Ring: Nürburgring, Germany (Live Stream links in 1st post)
Loved Major Minus (album name perhaps?), it has so much energy and great guitar. Charlie Brown (odd name aside) was great, has a good Clocks feels to it. Us Against the World, great bridge back to parachutes era, and great duet. HLH still needs to grow on me, maybe when I understand the lyrics, but the lights and graphics and beat are great. I think ETIAW is similar to Violet Hill in that both are first released but not quite mega hits, as VLV became, I'm sure another will pop up form LP5 to be the hit of the new era. My surround sound loved this concert, it was so great to hear the booming Coldplay sound again. Any Life is For Living making a surprise return, wow... only thing better than that would have been Amsterdam.

[3-June-2011] Rock im Park: Nürnberg, Germany [possible setlist and first YouTube videos in 1st post
BTTF/Cartoon Hearts is awesome, has a great Clocks feel to it. Us Against the World is nice and fresh bridge back to Parachutes.
