Y'know, i've never been a fan of Birds, but since the live album came out, ive really been diggin' it more and more. So its made its way onto my permanent playlist in the car. Trouble is, it turns out I have no idea how to sing it, like, what the words are. Just went to the website to see what they actually are, and boy was I way off hah

As another user mentioned, it could be like the stream coldplaying does/used to do. Also, I guess you could post here if Guy replied to your post on instagram or something. I thought there'd be a bit more hype since this is the first of the band who openly has their own social media account. But then again, we are in the off season.

Agreed 100%. I recall some more recent interviews where he acknowledged that and was trying to change it. Like, you know what, we're really proud of this album, and we think its really good. I still hear too much of that self-deprecating style for my liking. There's nothing wrong in saying they think band XYZ is good, but they should also say, hey, we think we're up there too! Semi relatedly, also could do with less 'is everybody okay?' during concerts.

Right, except when you tell them that, then they say 'they're gay'. Their words not mine. But listen, they're 7 albums deep, I think everyone has had their opinions made up about them at this point. They could literally make the greatest album of all time and most people will not change their opinion.

I think Trouble was the song I knew first from the band. Didnt think much of it except that I liked it, but not enough to find out who the artist was, etc. This was also partially because I was in my preteens and didn't even know to check. Fast forward some time, and somewhat randomly, my sister bought me LP2 as a gift. Not even sure what prompted it, if I told her at some point liking Trouble, or maybe she heard it was a good album and bought it for me. Anyways, I wore that disk out pretty hard on Politik, Clocks, The Scientist and GPASUYF. I remember vividly not wanting to even bother listening to Warning Sign or Green Eyes. As soon as their intros hit, it sounded kinda 'country' to me, which was a turn off. It's funny how much I love those songs now!

"I haven't seen you in ages" is similar to "long time no see". Both are ways to greet someone you missed for a long time, yes. Hope this helps.

Seems similar to the notes in the recent studio albums which was the bands' kids initials. Im not a big enough superfan to know all the kids names.

Very short review/story of my experience with the CD first. So, Dec 7th also happens to be when Super Smash Brothers Ultimate came out and to be honest, i was more excited about that. A week later, and i finally found 2 hours to listen to the CD and I finished not 5 mins ago. A few notes in random order: -nice to have The Scientist finally on a live album, although I prefer the one from Live 2012. IIRC, it wasn't officially on the CD, but I just ripped it off the DVD bonus feature. It's my go to live version of the song -GPASUYF was amazing and takes me back to the crowd interaction during my concert experience -Clocks seemed to be the lip-synced version :/ -I never really got the hype around Charlie Brown, but seeing/hearing it live is awesome -almost the same with Hymn For The Weekend. -did not enjoy the two spanish songs, did nothing for me, but maybe because im not spanish and didn't understand them. Relatedly, I wish I knew what he was saying when he was speaking spanish to the crowd. -In My Place by Will was a nice touch. Hope he's not reading this and embarrassed or something, but his voice is too high for my liking for this song. They played In My Place for the Toronto show I was at and Chris was doing it there, so maybe I just wanted it to be the same? I also think he does better as a backup vocalist to Chris's lead vocals. No disrespect to Will, thats my role in band as well, to play an instrument and give backup vocals, and I don't do as well being the main guy. -A few tracks (particularly early on) seemed at a faster tempo? I saw the documentary already, but looking forward to the DVD perhaps this weekend!

So funny because I just saw Paul Rudd in the Ant Man movies. I don't blame the actor exactly, if anything the writers, but I wouldn't even say that. It's really the ppl who perpetuate the joke just to bully others; not cool. Debs did well to avoid the trolls. I feel perhaps she should have done the AMA on r/coldplay itself instead of r/AMA where its a mixed bag. Or, y'know, right here on coldplaying?

So Debs did an AMA over on reddit, and its still kinda disappointing the same old jokes are being made about Coldplay :/ I know it shouldn't get me down, but it does somehow. I get that not every will like them (even our own fans don't like them sometimes!), but why make such nasty comments directly to someone who has an actual in with the band? On a happier note, there were some nice nuggets of info or at least confirmations in that AMA, so i'd say its worth browsing over.

Relistening to them all, I still like Rise Up the most even though Los Unidades is not actually in it. But now I think i like E-Lo the most! Like I Ran Away said, its annoyingly stuck in my head, lol!
