@guy Well, you seem to be counting from the album release, not the end of the tour which makes brings you to 6 years, which makes it sound so much longer than it really is! On top of that, the band can release the album first and tour later. From their history, they've toured before, after and simultaneously with the album release month so its hard to say how they'll do it for era 8. However, the quickest, realistic timeframe is they take a bit of a longer hiatus than their usual 18 months off to record, release it 6 months before they start the tour (which they've done before) and hopefully that will bring us to 2021 a bit more comfortably.

^ I was the same way with True Love, but then I went through something that made me appreciate it more. As with most of the songs in the bracket. I feel like I can appreciate them if im in a certain mood, as opposed to a song like Viva La Vida or Politik where I can listen to it whenever. My personal reason for not liking ASARY is I haven't found that 'mood' to be in to like it, lol. With XMTS, as per its design from Chris, it gets me in a clubby, city-urban, mood youknowwhatImean?

that i dont know, I caught it relatively late. Agree, not sure why In My Place was there. I wouldnt say its the best song, but closer to the best than the worst if we're placing it on a spectrum.

^yeah, at least out of the 4, its the strongest IMO but before anyone goes crazy, this was just a lighthearted poll, and something had to be last. A good way someone said it was its not the worst song, its the least liked.

FYI, I was very loosely and casually following this coldplay twitter worse song bracket. FWIW, the finalists were Easy To Please, A Spell A Rebel Yell, X Marks The Spot and 1.36. Eventually, A Spell A Rebel Yell was named the worse song. I think that or 1.36 wouldve had my vote (even from the whole library). What do yall think. Sorry, have not been following, but to me the real question (regarding collabs is), would you rather have no collabs, or a great one. I mean, if they really did get offered a collab with Bono for example, im not sure id enjoy that as much as them doing their own thing.

But he just wrote it for the album whose tour he's trying to promote. I just dont get it, but oh well.

I was just listening to this yesterday actually (and coincidentally, my friend was listening to another George Michael song at the same time too). Y'know what grinds my gears sometimes? A tragedy like George's death will happen from time to time, and you'll have an artist pay tribute in some sort of cover. Chris/Coldplay, as we know, do this often with Amy, Chester, David, Michael, etc. But you'll get some idiot online saying, "oh, the original was so much better". No shit Sherlock, but they dont exactly do it to be better, they do it to pay tribute to another artist who had an impact on them. Like, lets say *knock on wood* Chris passes away a hundred years from now, and some future robot boy band pays tribute by singing The Scientist or something. Im not gonna expect it to sound as good, but i'd be glad someone remembers the band and feels compelled to honour them with a cover. End rant.

So typically we see live albums released 2 months after the end of the tour date. Interestingly, lately, we are actually seeing them before the tour date is even done. Even so, we are seeing an average of release about 2 months pre or post final tour date. Obviously, they havent released it before the end of this tour, so it's gotta be after, and it's looking like about 2 months after, ie, Jan/Feb 2018.
