  1. Oh really... why did I think she was a he? Doh.
  2. Whoop whoop! How do you know? Is Chavi there... has he heard it?
  3. I love the shaved head! I hope he keeps it short from now on, it suits him so well. Reminds me of Parachutes and AROBTTH all over again. Lovely.
  4. John Cleese was born in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England, the son of Muriel (née Cross), an acrobat, and Reginald Francis Cleese, who worked in insurance sales. His family's surname was previously "Cheese", but his father changed his surname to "Cleese" in 1915, upon joining the army.
  5. The penny has finally dropped and, at last, I love this song! It's so understated and effortless, it's Chris at his absolute best. On some of the other tracks I think he tries too hard and it comes across as forced, but this feels so natural and honest; it's a beautiful song.

Twisted Logic Speed Of Sound and Things I Don't Understand do the same thing (questioning life etc) but the latter does it better in my opinion. The Hardest Part is nice but just doesn't fit at all - it's much better as a b-side. Swallowed In The Sea is nice too but it's not really necessary. Viva La Vida: A Spell A Rebel Yell should definitely be on this.

  8. Great... I'll go get my mixing on.
  9. So 'Prospekt' comes from the 'prospektor' in The Goldrush... Or has this already been discussed? EDIT: Yes, it has already been discussed. Ignore me. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48365
  10. I know what I'm asking Santa for this year, even if I have to wait an extra day for it.
  11. Will verified that they were discussing the title of the EP and Guy and Jonny seemed to agree also so I'm guessing Prospekt's March will definitely be released this year. I'm a bit worried by Chris's obsession with getting another album out by "the end of the decade". Not worried worried, but sort of confused. It seems like a major change from their recent recording schedules, i.e. 2/3 year gaps between albums. And considering that they'll probably be touring into 2009 with possibly some huge stadium dates if Roadie 42's musings are to be believed, then where is this other album going to come from? And what's going to happen after 2010 - why is Chris so obsessed with getting to the end of the decade and then disappearing into a cloud of hash. Is he just being a silly sausage like he always is, or do they actually have something MAJOR MAJOR planned for after that? I have no idea, but I wish I did.
  12. Chris is gonna start making out with Guy tonight thanks to Dermot.
  13. Oh bugger, I had 6 Music on by accident. Ignore me.
  14. Eurgh, Glasvegas. The 'drummer' in this band annoys me so much.
  15. God On Trial: a new 90-minute drama for BBC Two – Wednesday 3 September 2008, 9.00-10.30pm God On Trial is a 90-minute drama for BBC Two written by Frank Cottrell Boyce (Welcome To Sarajevo, Hilary And Jackie, 24 Hour Party People), his first television project in ten years. Cottrell Boyce's script takes as a starting point the story that prisoners in Auschwitz, their faith tested by their suffering and the barbarity of the Nazis, put God on trial. In the drama the charge is that God has broken his covenant with his chosen people to protect and care for them; the trial takes place in a camp blockhouse over the course of one day around a selection of those prisoners who are going to be taken to the gas chamber. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2008/08_august/27/trial.shtml This looks like it could be really good. I'll definitely be watching it and hopefully a few people here will too so we can have a chin-wag about it afterwards...
  16. In retrospect, the instrumental would be nice, but... what a rip-off! Put some b-sides on there and if they're keeping them for another EP write some new stuff and whack it on. Sheesh kebab.
  17. The cheek of all those people asking Obama if he's got any spare change.
  18. I love The World Should Revolve Around Me. I think I'll be getting her album.
  19. If anyone buys this then be a kind soul and upload the instrumental track please.
  20. I never get goosebumps at gigs - it's too hot.
  21. Has anyone been watching the tennis? Poor Ana :( Her confidence has totally disappeared.
