  1. haha, my favorite quote ever "Valentine's Day, a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make guys like me feel like crap." That being said. I'm going to be probably watching Munich again, taking notes for my final essay in Film.
  2. Oh yea, when Bono comes out, everyone went nuts. haha
  3. awwww "hugs" you're awesome.
  4. hehe, and then this is a pic taken in photography in grade 12, god I hated that class. And yes, I snapped the A-string on my guitar before the pic was taken. haha
  5. haha, the aviator, nice. Brokeback Mountain 10/10
  6. haha where you running to!
  7. aw thanks you guys!
  8. This is a pic from the Pearl Jam show in September I went to.
  9. There we go, sorry about the pic being so big, I don't know how to shrink it down. And here I am after starting Uni.
  10. Here I am in back in grade 12, I'm the one trying to look grungy with the plad shirt and jeans. My history teacher was on drums. haha.
  11. So many awesome quotes from this movie. The Dude is my hero. haha. And it's funny how Eddie Vedder looks more like the Dude every year. "Jacky Treehorn brings in a lot of water to this town Lebowski, you don't bring shit.." "Jacky Treehorn treats objects like women!"
  12. Twisted Logic.
  13. I think there are more contrasts than comparisons between A Rush... and X&Y. AROBTTH is more of a black and white toned album. The songs are all immediate, and the sound has a foggy texture to it. And also the whole thing's about heartbreak. X&Y is way more ambient sounding, and the whole thing is about insecurity. And also the songs are massive sounding, but are ironically very intimate.
  14. eh, a change will do Coldplay good, I think if they didn't change their ways for the next album, then it would really start to sound really monotone. As long as they don't try to pull a Kid A out of their asses I'm fine. haha. That being set, I'd really like to hear Coldplay recording with a Phil Spector kind of wall-of-sound treatment. I think they could do great stuff with two heavily distorted guitars, a bass, and loud drums.

Yea but, what did Brendan Frasier learn in the movie at all? It seemed like he was there as window dressing. And Sandra Bullock learned to not be a bitch by falling down stairs? come on...
  16. Syriana was fucking awesome. I have the poster on the wall in my room. Most people didn't like the movie because it was too confusing, but when you think about it, that's the whole point to the movie. You're put right alongside George Clooney in this movie and you're meant to feel as mystified about this massive web of conspiracy and corruption as he is, as well as all the other characters in the movie too. And the tagline of the movie should be warning enough "EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED".
  17. lately, my fave movies would have to be.... Syriana, Munich, The Big Lebowski, and RAGING BULL!
  18. Well, in Munich, I love the scene when Avner and the Mossad agents go to Beirut and battle it out against the terrorists, awesome action scene. And I thought that Steven Spielberg did a great job with the hotel bombing sequence. (When Avner turns off his light, and all of a sudden the wall explodes right beside him). And I liked in Syriana when George Clooney confronts Christopher Plummer in the diner about the investigation.
  19. I was torn between watching Matchpoint or Brokeback Mountain, and I'm glad I chose this. Powerful movie, awesome cinematography of Alberta in the movie.
  20. I've been debating this with my film major homies and I have question..... why is Crash nominated for Best Picture? Just my opinion, but I think it's just too cheesy, and it sort of beats the "stop racism" message to death. For best picture, Brokeback Mountain will most likely win, although I'd really like to see Munich win. And I know it won't happen, but George Clooney should definitely win for Syriana, best acting of his career. And also I'd really like Syriana to win for Original screenplay.
  21. Oh yea, Eddie and Bono are my superheroes. haha. So I was totally stoked seeing them both two nights in a row. And Pearl Jam did a cover of my fave U2 song too, A Sort Of Homecoming. All I could say was "oh snap!" haha You're seeing Oasis eh? That's awesome, I didn't plan on going, but now that I just heard that they'd be playing with Richard Ashcroft, now I'm slightly upset for missing the oppurtunity.
  22. Bringing Down the Horse is pretty good, but I really like Breach best. Letters From The Wasteland is definitely one of their best songs.
  23. I saw U2 in September, City Of Blinding Lights live bleww me away. And when Bono brought Eddie Vedder out on stage to do a duet, that was beyond sick. And then when I saw Pearl Jam two days later, Eddie Vedder brings out Bono to sing Rockin' In The Free World. haha.
