  1. You need a chromatic tuner (which can tune to any note, not just the five on your guitar) or a piano, or just some knowledge of what notes you're looking for (assuming you have a good enough ear). Like, for instance, if you want to tune your 1st string to a D#, just tune it to the fourth fret of the 2nd string. :D Hope that helps some. I know I didn't go into a whole lot of detail.
  2. That's why I got the cell phone with the nice sturdy antenna. :wink3: And as far as I can tell the antenna is mostly for show... so ONWARD WITH THE CHEWING.
  3. The antenna of my cell phone. I CAN'T STOP CHEWING ON IT. The one on my last cell phone broke off.
  4. Gang of Four? :wink3: (if you don't know what I'm talking about then just ignore this)
  5. Before you die... YOU SEE THE RING. Unless you lost it...
  6. It is evil. Because you can get things cheaply. So you think you're saving money... so you buy more of everything. And the next thing you know you owe some guy in Boise, Idaho $200 for musical equipment you don't even want or need all that badly.
  7. I don't think cover art gets any more legendary, unusual, or artistic than this one:
  8. Today's Greatest Song of All Time of the Day is Gang of Four - "Damaged Goods"
  9. and I do appreciate you being 'round.
  10. Seriously though, I'm having the same problem. But it's not too difficult to work around it.
  11. ...self assured and now I find I've changed my mind, and opened up the doors
  12. GOOOOOOOOOOO SIXERS.... oh shit. Well... I'll see you in this thread in October. :P
  13. It makes me think that somebody in the advertising depertment at Apple deserves a raise. :dozey:
  14. Also, if Dire Straits are oldies, what does that make like.... everything before the 1980's? :uneasy:
  15. Sweet. I get to be the first person to come into this thread and be obnoxious by saying I WANT MY MTV
  16. Wait, we're not talking about real casinos? I need to pay better attention.
  17. One of my uncles owns a place in Atlantic City, and he's in the casinos a lot. Every now and then he comes out with $1,000 or something, but he probably loses twice that most of the time. :o He has a lot of expendable income, apparently.
  18. After reading that whole thing I am completely shocked and amazed by the fact that I'm not only still alive, but not even gravely ill. Anyway yeah, I'm with Reilly and okpathos on this one.
  19. uh... well you've got aloe covered, so nope. burns on moving parts are the worst... shoulders, elbows, and knees. ugh. backs are bad too, because every time your shirt moves slightly it's hell, and sleeping is hard too... I know I'm probably not really helping, sorry. :P
  20. Am I the only one who saw the title of this thread and thought "wow, it must take a lot of energy to run 14 kilometers"?
  21. This is a satirical thread, right? Right?
  22. I've got tickets for tonight, I can't wait. :D
  23. What if it worked too well, and instead of staving off global warming, it started a period of unbearable coldness and everybody on the planet froze to death? Just sayin'. :smug:
  24. Yeah, that's definitely true. And it's not necessarily a bad thing to be that skinny. It's still a good idea not to accentuate it, though.
  25. I find their figure of 146,593,462 registered jumpers to be a little dubious as well.
