Two or three inches of snow here already today...apparently it's coming in from Siberia (I've been near there, it's not the warmest place!!) If the snowscape scene is nice tomorrow I'll take a pic and post it (and then go back to snuggle up in bed hehe :P)

In a way - attention - yes I agree. But, it shows that the silent majority (not those he harrasses by PM or via facebook etc etc), when given a chance to speak (and not mobbed by his own distractions and smoke-screens), can call him out for exactly what he is. I think (at least I hope) it's a wake up call for him. If it's not, there'll be another one shortly down the line, it's inevitable. I'd like to draw attention again to Space Cadet's concerns about his attempts at 'recruitment' of young/teenage/underage members to become his 'supporters'. I have first-hand proof of this which I'll gladly pass on to Ian if it becomes necessary when and if he complains about the 'slanderous lies' on this thread. Deeply disturbing behaviour.

Pretty well sums things up! Although, as such an obvious troll, I personally think he should be permanently banned, and imho the mods have a right also to free speech when attacked by him (which they often are). I thought he was a teenager (especially when there was a thread where he was punning about sexual stuff with a group of teenagers) and was pretty unsettled when I found out how old he was.

Mark will always be someone's best buddy until they fail to support him when he wants them to - I've heard that countless times from people in real life. Yep, that's my attitude - tell him face to face, like a man. Not insult people across numerous threads that they'll probably never read. If I have a problem with Mark I tell him on that thread - he prefers to spread lies and stupid puns about them all over the forum (even when they don't even post for a long time like Reilly). Pathetic. Anyway, I've said my piece, more or less. Let's see what happens when he comes back, if he has such a lack of shame to do so. And I do wish people would read the whole thread before they say that any of this is bullying - it's the simple truth, posted by many, many users, and all easily backed up by previous posts on this board.

As far as I recall people mentioned they missed your posts on a thread and he then went on a near-maniacal spree of slagging you off in just about every post I read from him for a good few months (his random one-line 'puns' - can we really call them that, doesn't it give the word 'pun' a bad name? - aside).

I wouldn't have thought so, no. I would've thought that 2009 only rivalled 2008 in being Coldplay's world-conquering stage in their career that they've always craved. All bands make slight slip-ups, but as far as I can see 2009 has been an unqualified triumph for the boys.

This. I didn't even know who Reilly was until I started reading offensive comments from Mark about him across all sorts of random threads (when as far as I know Reilly hadn't even posted for months or even years, having not seen his posts). He does (has done, we shall see?) the same to me for a long while. Even when Ian stepped in and asked us to put each other on ignore (and basically told us to SHUT UP about each other) because of the arguments I did, but people PMed me telling me he was still being rude about me across the forum. So I had to take him off ignore to defend myself. The guy is the very definition of an internet troll. He revels in it. In fact, in my humble opinion, the attention he gets here from his unpleasant behaviour is the highlight of his life. I detest him but at the same time pity him.

Sorry you're not right there I think, but I am just off to bed and too tired to look it up to offer the correct interpretation. From memory a place on the coast near Osaka is a traditional spot to see the first sunrise of the new year. And of course, Japan is the 'land of the rising sun'. But, neither of these two things have anything major to do with that line in the song imho. It was Chris wandering around central Osaka near the bands' hotel when sunrise broke in an incredible way that inspired him.

I can't go :cry: My only option (and one that was offered to me) was to cancel my part in the party that clashes with the gig (and I am one of the main organisers as well as a guest of honour). This will be the most incredible concert, but family always must come first. I hope I will have such incredible luck again in the future, and I cannot thank Jayzo again for getting me the ticket :) Have fun everyone!! :sunny:
