Someone will have seen what you wrote about me to start this big argument off before you edited it (and then lied time and time again that you didn't). You've shown your true colours at last with your lies. Other people have told me how bad you are in the past, but however unpleasant you almost always are I couldn't really believe some of the things I have been told about you until your lies about editing this post. Shocking.

Lore, I don't want a fight here either (please read my earlier posts). But he is LYING about an edit he made to his post last night which insulted me and started this all off. Can mods go back and see where someone has made an edit? If so you will see that I'm telling the truth. I guess the only way from now on is to save a screenshot if I'm ever unfortunate enough to meet this guy online again.

Yes, I called you that, because we had an argument on a different thread, then I came here to chat to my friends and the first thing I saw was an insult about me (which you later edited out). So I responded. It IS being a troll to continue arguments across different threads, and insult people where they may not see it. And now you lie, and lie, and lie, and ruin this thread too. Shame on you.

Must I take a screenshot of every post you make in future just to have proof that the insult I know you threw at me on this thread is true (before you edited). You know it is true too. I didn't think it was possible, but you have gone even further down in my opinion of you. You horrible, horrible man.

I have PMed you. I came in here last night to say hello, and the very first thing I saw was an insult from Mark about me, how should I respond? I agree, this is not a fighting thread either, it is a thread amongst friends, a nice place to chill and chat. So, why are you directing this post at me and not Mark (who wanted to bring our disagreement elsewhere onto this thread)?

Hey friends :) OK guys, just popped back in to the forum and have seen that, as is so often the case, Mark edited his post after we exchanged messages here last night. We were having an argument on another thread. When I gave up, I came here to say hello to you guys, but he was already here posting nasty messages about a user with an elephant avatar...so that is why I responded. Pris, it WAS NOT a childish and pointless argument from my side. But I kept it to the other thread. It is only MC who carries arguments across the forum and enters different threads to insult others behind their backs. So please understand, if he is rude to me here (even though he edited it now) I will respond.

Zonealarm AVG Adaware Spybot Cwshredder (haven't had any alerts with this for a LONG time so maybe these exploits no longer apply?) This combination has worked very well for me for 5+ years...never a threatening virus. They are all free, but Zonealarm needs to be tweaked by the user, the forums aren't bad for that if you're looking for advice.

Thank you once again Nancy. I would like to second sp★rkle's hopes for continued prayers and support. The situation must be so bad there that almost none of us might imagine it. The massacre hit the news in the UK, but there is no news here of how those affected by the floods are continuing to survive...it's heartbreaking. Please, plenty of prayers and good wishes, and donations if you can manage anything over this Christmas period; surely the true meaning of the holiday season is caring for our fellows. Tonsu

I'm not even going to bother in the mad rush for tickets, as there's no chance, and I've used up all my Coldplay karma by now at small gigs like this :( I may, however, drive down on the day, because at such a small event there's always a good chance of getting in :)

Oh, I would love to be there, it'd be such an adventure driving down from London for this. Unfortunately I am sick and tired of the fighting to get Coldplay tickets, and there are so few available :( Wishing everyone who is prepared to make the huge effort to try and get them lots of luck :)

We're already deeply embroiled in Afghanistan. Agreed it will never be won, but the point is to leave when there will be least trouble caused in the future. Leave at the wrong point and the Taliban will be back there within five years and we'll be back to square one. At best, leave behind a corrupt government and oppressed people, but without any significant future international threat. It's lose-lose for the people of Afghanistan (has been since before even Reagan fucked it all up) but some losses are worse than others. We need to withdraw at a point where losses for all are least.

Haven't read thread apart from the original post. The change in government is that Obama would never have attacked Iraq illegally as Bush did along with his puppet Blair. Afghanistan is a totally different question as there was some justification. The troops are already embroiled, and the whole region could be further destabilised if the situation isn't made better before withdrawal. The fact that it probably never will be possible to reach a satisfactory point of stabilisation is of course terribly depressing. But, that's not to say they mustn't continue to do the very best to leave it (eventually) in as good shape as possible.
