  1. Happy birthday my friend, will give you a big hug and a kiss at Wembley (if you don't mind of course, hehe!)
  2. Ooh, only just noticed this bit. Quite surprised to read it to be honest. 'Ignore' does not work when people continue to follow you around and post abusive comments, as you did to me. When it continues for weeks you are forced to then take them off 'ignore' if you want to read what they said and then defend yourself. No disagreement was 'resolved' because you continued to follow me around and post unpleasant comments about me. Had you accepted Ian's advice to ignore me yourself I may not have posted on this thread at all about you, in fact you would just be a distant memory (hopefully).
  3. If you like I can either publish a link to your original comments on the Jay-z thread that upset so many people for what is recognised on other internet boards as 'trolling', or can make a new thread listing your behaviour if you'd prefer. I could also make a list of the threads where you harrassed me last year, and the threads where you posted abusive comments after Ian had asked each of us not to reply to each other anymore. As I wrote before I had to take you off 'ignore' eventually because you were posting after me on many threads, so it became clear that you weren't adhering to the request to leave me be, and quite obviously you were writing nothing nice (your actions are that predictable) There are also threads where people have said they are so upset by your posts that they do not want to belong here anymore. And I believe that one group of girls were so unsettled by you that they created a private forum elsewhere just to avoid you. Want me to bump any of those threads? Nathan may have been a blooming rude so and so but I never heard anything like that (that he follows people around to abuse them, with or without bad language, that he has forced people to quit the forum because of his behaviour toward them, etc) about him. I only spoke to him once really, on a thread that has now been deleted I think, and to be very fair to him he admitted he had an attitude problem. In my humble opinion, it's time you did the same.
  4. The ignore function doesn't work on forums in my opinion, and is rather just a replacement for a lack of a strict enough moderation policy. The above poster, for example, pursued me across many threads over a number of weeks last year, purely because I had repeatedly asked him to stop his criticism spamming on a thread about Jay-z at Glastonbury, even though most people enjoyed the performance and were nicely surprised. Basically he tried to ruin the thread, and that in my book is enough to say 'see ya later, we don't need or want you on this board'. But he pursued me for weeks, writing negative comments about my personality, and generally being offensive (although not using actual swear-words). I appealed to the mods about this , and while I have great respect and liking for many of them that I've come to know through the board and PM, nothing was done at the time. Eventually after mc_squared chased me around the board for a few weeks being deeply unpleasant I had to write directly to Ian to ask that Mark stop. We were both told (or rather advised) to put each other on ignore. I did, but well what do you know? He didn't and continued his unpleasant remarks in response to my posts, until I was forced to take him off 'ignore' just to see exactly what he'd said. To Ian and Jenjie: the ignore function only works when a board is more-moderated imho. You banned Nathan and his posts were often rude and offensive, so why don't you have a swear filter like most boards that the under-16s visit - I correct myself, most internet boards in general? Mark's posts have been just as rude and unpleasant as Nathan's ever were, just in a different sense, and been going on for years now, but you will not do anything about him, despite the people who could not bear to stay on this forum any longer because of his veiled abuse and bullying. My last post on this. I give up.
  5. Tonsu replied to MartinFan's topic in Coldplay
Absolute rubbish - Coldplay's worst song ever.
  6. I've enjoyed the humour in a lot of your posts, but I see no humour in a thread asking to make someone paranoid, whether a joke or not. And Mark is paranoid enough already. No surprise I guess if you know his posting history. So just going with the flow. And putting on record (again) how unpleasant this particular poster is (for example multiple people have felt they had to leave the forum because he picked on them - you know that?) I shan't bother hanging around until he comes in here with his standard ridiculous mantra of 'usual suspects'.
  7. In eleven years spent on internet forums, he is the second most unpleasant character I've ever come across. I can't believe Nathan was banned while this deeply unpleasant individual wasn't long, long ago. Mods, keep this thread open please. Everyone else, I wish you a nice day as always :)
  8. Charm school still not working then I take it? :laugh3: I will stop posting, happily, but it's just coincidence as my plane leaves today. See ya! :P
  9. Fair enough, most Brits do the same thing I think. As I wrote earlier, I thought your original post was valid, it's just a shame you dilute your good points with unnecessary insults and attention-whoring - are you MC in disguise??! :laugh3:
  10. Only 'fairly' deluded in your book? What's wrong with you man :(
  11. If being polite and considering other people's points of view are pretentious then give me the crown now, I'll be glad of it! On the other hand if hyperbole (unless you have only been on the net for a couple of weeks) wins any prizes then I'll hand it back to you (I think you deserve it :D) Hello my friend, how are things with you? waves
  12. Very true, an excellent point. I suppose I'm just very lucky in that (apart from one exception) I've always been an incredible judge of character, even just by reading letters or text. I've always thought I must be slightly psychic (and that is for another thread) but i'll try to remember that not everyone is intuitive. :)
  13. Fair enough on the first part, that's up to you (of course). But what are these annoyances that can't be solved? What's the point of this thread?
  14. Oh and in addition to me editing my post because I didn't say what I meant to say, this is nonsense too. I've met over ten people from this forum and each and every one has been exactly as they seemed from their posts here. I won't repeat this for a third time.
  15. I was just trying to do you a favour. I like you, and I like a lot of your posts. I just don't get why you won't let people help you. Could you please explain what the problem is here exactly? Yes, I mis-wrote that part of my post, I've edited it now :)
  16. ^ Ah I love psychology my friend, it's fascinating to me :)
  17. I've read plenty of your posts, and I wasn't so much talking about your problem here, I was talking in general about your attitude and it's pretty obvious to anyone who's studied psychology that anyone who behaves differently on the internet to the way they do in real life in fact have an inbalance of behaviour in that real life. Don't want to talk about that right now? Fine, I was just trying to do you a favour. So then, how about you fill me in on what's getting you so annoyed this time (I presume it's not the point of the original post on the thread, because that I've already agreed with)?
  18. I agree with the original point of the thread, but that said there are a couple of posts that have caught my eye... Then I think you need to find real-life ways of dealing with your obvious angst. Taking it out on others on the internet is just a way of ducking what really gets your goat, which is something you need to deal with in your day to day life. You'll need to face it eventually, otherwise it'll just continue. Do yourself a favour and address it sooner rather than later. Absolute nonsense. Sure, many people hide behind 'personas' on the net and put on all kinds of shows, but I've met ten or so people from here in the flesh and they were all EXACTLY as I expected from their posts.
  19. You obviously know nothing about pan-Asian politics to say such a thing. You could try for a millennia and there would still be no way of getting the Koreans, Chinese and Japanese together. It will never happen. Another one who clearly doesn't understand.
  20. Well I've just cashed in my last £2000 savings for my holiday, so make that one trillion and two thousand pounds! (Mock ye not, that two grand could be the straw that breaks the elephant's back!)
  21. Camby doesn't post here much anymore. <edit> And Sporkman hasn't posted since Bush left office.
  22. 'They could not take your pie' :laugh3: Brilliant, I'll edit the post! More complete song re-writes please all people who are willing!
  23. Britain doesn't generally torture people within its own borders, no (well not in any systematic way). But we have, astonishingly shamefully, assisted the US-sponsored torture of suspected terrorists in third-party countries. Just google 'extraordinary rendition'. I'm ashamed of my country for this, and of the whole West for being party to it :embarassed:
  24. ^ That's the strange thing about it all, isn't it? I know freaking is an Americanism (and we have just as many local slang words here in the UK - maybe more! - and probably more incomprehensible too :laugh3:).
  25. Women's rights? Human rights? Don't matter? Then let them in I say. (At least then they could join fellow torturing countries like Britain).
