  1. what a poll! :laugh3: Andy Gill for #1 enemy
  2. oLoLz, I'm terrible at responses (this was from a while back :laugh3:) Honestly I don't pay 100% loyalty to a certain team; I just like the fun spirit that surrounds it (oh, and aside from the fact that the school I go to doesn't have a football team :(). BUT there's no denying that USC's a good team. :P It's just too much fun watching people around here going crazy about the Trojans, ESPECIALLY during the rivalries against Notre Dame and UCLA. I really like Notre Dame too (USC vs. Notre Dame is my FAVORITE rivalry). And UW, mostly because I used to live in Seattle, and they were the first team that managed to expose me to college football years ago (not to mention they were really good during the late 90's-ish).
  3. *drools* that looks good :D ahhh, less than two months to go (for me)! [still too excited and impatient]
  4. zomg oh noes :stunned: :laugh3: i love this song. can't wait to sing along at the concert (if they have it on the setlist).
  5. Dude, now I am 110% sure you're taking the piss. :laugh3: :dozey: Did something happen to your eye, btw? The right one seems to always be shut. Ahh whatever, that's none of my business. In fact, I have other things to choose to focus my attention towards with my time.
  6. Grazie, Stephan. :) Cemeteries sounds like jigs, and those tend to be in 6/8. Woohoo :P
  7. Huzzah! The rhythm of the melody between the two are more different than similar. I agree it's all coincidence. Why the eff would Chris Martin be at their concert and the guys NOT go up to him and say "hi" and have a picture or some other memento? Yeah....that pretty much sums it up.
  8. Doesn't Cemeteries sounded more 6/8? I mean, it sounds easier to follow cause 3/4 would seem too short/quick for the drums.......? *edit* Yeah, it's got to be 6/8. The triplets-rhythm is definitely there and the chord progressions fit.
  9. I haven't been to concerts by myself yet, and although I think it would be nice (since I don't really mind doing things alone), it's always nice to share the moment with a good friend too. The only uncertainty that would make me kind of nervous is who I'll be sitting next to if I go alone. Some people are really chill and cool during concerts. Others are...
  10. Noes. :sneaky: I kid, I kid! Just keep trying out and honing your ninja skillz to shneak in the back to be with sweet dear Johnny.
  11. Well hey, if it's all in the name of raising funds for charity, then I think it would be a good idea....Although some of us are going to be caught in the middle of the ever-ongoing Radiohead vs. Coldplay debate (I sure as hell would be :dozey:). Actually no, scratch that. Radiohead vs. Muse! For real. :laugh3: LoL aside from furied debates, having both bands booked in the festival lineup at the same year would require much more time and effort into the festival for the organizers (though I assume it shouldn't be impossible to handle for them...). Oh whatever. I say have them go for it! Plus, I might be studying abroad over in the UK next summer. TAAAKE THE RIIIISK!! :smug:
  12. So far the only albums released this year that I've been able to hear in entirety are: Goldfrapp - "Seventh Tree" Portishead - "Third" The Ting Tings - "We Started Nothing" Death Cab For Cutie - "Narrow Stairs" Weezer - The Red Album those five are worth hearing. well...maybe a little less Portishead. i was a little disappointed with that one, but still good nonetheless.
  13. Crap, so I guess my friend was right then about CP mimicking the balls. There goes that debate...:laugh3: :dozey: I really like Kanye's music; he's one of the few hip-hop artists paving way for the genre to progress. No hate on his works at all; it's his pompous-ness that irritates me. From the looks of the pics, Coldplay's balls are more colorful. Hurrah!
  14. All right I've had enough. Get over with it. We all know by now that you don't like Jay-Z. No need to be so daft by deliberately twisting words and everyone's heads around.
  15. Sometimes all that rapping gets out of hand. From gunz 'n hoez, to candyshops and thongs. And ugh....nothing gets crazy like Twista and Sean Paul. What are they saying again? :dizzy:
  16. Oh so that's how you roll in baseball :dozey: LoL to be honest, I'm not THAT much of a Red Sox fan; my heart's with another team but even then I have to agree with what one of the comedians' commentary about the Red Sox (from that one episode of "I Love The New Millenium")...that the Red Sox pulled off the greatest ultimate-wedgie in baseball history when they won the World Series that year. Now that was good (if only my team would do it someday!) :laugh3:. The only thing about Jay-Z's performance was that around the middle part of the whole gig, the crowd seemed a bit tired. I guess not only that, but maybe they didn't know those other 'classics'. But still, HOV maintains a lot of energy and most of all, how everyone came together all for the spirit of the festival, music, fun, life, etc. That was beautiful. :)
  17. LMAO me too. My goal in life is to go to a Red Sox game and sing "Sweet Caroline" off the top of my lungs alongside the crowd (which has been a tradition since....when some genius announcer decided to play the song). :D
  18. ^Sorry mate, but I disagree with you still. It isn't fair to be telling 2732 that Jay-Z's performance was awful and dismiss the idea to go watch it, IF HE/SHE HASN'T HEARD (or seen) IT YET. As you said yourself: " It's what you hear with your own ears that counts." Anyway, what's done is done. I think it's rather disappointing that Eavis is backing out on diversifying Glastonbury. Fair enough that the festival's profits go to charity, but.....meh, I hope Glastonbury still keep the music diversity up in other ways. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-xFoiQGFRA&feature=PlayList&p=00B50EA8EBA2DC72&index=0
  19. VH1's "I love the [decade]" series never ceases to entertain. :laugh3: And an Asian person myself, I whole-heartedly LOL-ed at the Yao Ming/William Hung commentaries by Jo Koy
  20. Coldplay Radiohead Muse Bat For Lashes M.I.A.
  21. i have no freaken idea what to think of her... first of all, i don't necessarily hate her lyrics; lots of fun and cheek :P the music itself isn't too bad, though i prefer the more-"rock" version and she's a good singer...i really like her voice. meh...the song STILL irks me anyway. and no, it's not because of the "offensive" subject (i thought it was clever anyway). maybe it's because the song gets old quickly for me. and aside from music, she's too cheeky for me image-wise. ((not to mention one of my idiotic guy-friends has been breaking into song with this song...:stunned:)) oh well. guess i should hear her other songs before making a decision. LoL
  22. Hahah it was all meant to be a good jab towards those annoying-loud-mouth brothers (grr), and it was funny to see majority of the crowd getting into it too. Yeah, HOVA can't sing too well in-tune, but great dissing w/ class. :laugh3: Franz Ferdinand was there!! Arrggghhh where are those bootleg clips?! :shocked2:
  23. JAY-Z was awesome! :smug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9Qw-w9Tf_w ^His cover of "Wonderwall" in the beginning is made of WIN. And I have to say that "Numb/Encore" was killer that night! And to think festival goers preferred Amy Winehouse over Jay....
  24. *bump* 17 more days! even though i'm not going to the first night of the actual tour, i'm sure excited as ever anyway for the 15th :D sooooo...how are things coming along with the rest of you (who'll be going to this gig)?
