At Soundclick (sign-up required, high quality stream) http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/chadyochummusic.htm or Myspace (more convenient, lower quality stream) http://www.myspace.com/chadyochum once my demo is out, I'll be going by the name "Corner Kid" Influences: Rufus Wainwright, Badly Drawn Boy, The Beatles, Billie Holiday

Re-sang "out of the Cold" Won a competition last year. Been writing a lot. Focusing on building a studio so that i can finally one day sit down and record a dozen albums. Hah. Who needs a band?

  7. I'll smoke just about anything natural. Cigars, pipe tobacco, natural rolled tobacco, misc natural herbs (teehee). But you'll never catch me smoking a typical manufactured cigarette. Some things arent meant to combust and fly right into your lungs.
  8. Iron & Wine - Naked as We Came Thats exactly how I want to die.
  9. Yes. Ever wonder where the hell someone has been when they come back? Ok, so since I've been MIA, I want to know about everyone else... It doesnt matter if I know you or not. No need for strangers remaining as strangers. What the hell has everyone done this last year. Thats right, May 2004 - May 2005. Gimme details. So much can happen in one year. You may be surprised how much or how little you've been doing with your life. Go for it.
  10. hey Reilly, I remember you. You disappeared a loooong time ago. Infact, I think I'm going to start a thread on that.
  11. um no, laura, i dont remember my own love triangle partner. Yes, i have returned. How've you been?
  12. Pick one artist. Sigur Ros for me
  13. A band from Japan. For fans of post-rock (ie: Explosions in the Sky, GYBE, etc.) They tend to go a bit heavier than EitS. Their style at times reminds me of Sigur Ros' Pop Song. Their Album "Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined" is excellent. Check it out. My favorite track is #3, "Halcyon (Beautiful Days)" Very thought provoking.
  14. happy birthday Laura!
  15. w00t! thanks Jess! Not many people have heard of "Jump," especially outside the US. They're not local, they're signed on an independent label and they tour the east coast US a lot, but they still seem to be unheard of to most everyone I meet. Formerly known as "Jump, Little Children." I highly suggest you download some of their songs. The singer has a voice thats out of this world. The music is both artsy and catchy, and incredibly diverse, which is why I admire them so much. Its hard to name one song that could represent the band's sound. Song Suggestions by Jump / Jump, Little Children: Mothers Eyes (long epic with an awesome piano intro) Pigeon (mellow and angelic, my favorite) Angel Dust (Upbeat and poppy) Come Around (dark and rockin) Cathedrals (Their "almost" hit, the most underrated song of all-time IMO) now for an actual LOCAL band. The Futurists (Formerly Known as Schming) - http://www.purevolume.com/thefuturists Schming and I go way back. The bassist is in my band. Even though they changed their name, I'll always call them Schming. The singer was a member of this board about a year ago. Heavily inspired by brit-rock. They're all 17 - 19 years old.
  16. I LOVE THIS SONG!!! the U.K. No.1 on the 6th June 1982 was... House Of Fun by Madness
  17. I did that at Kareoke night on a New Years Cruise to the Bahamas... after downing a couple Bailey's on the rocks... in front of a ton of people... we got it on video, and in the background I heard someone say "DAYUMN, look at white boy go!"
  18. I'd vote for her if she ran for president
