i'm making both of my cards because my uni town and my hometown are too small and boring to merit postcards. the first one is an old siggy of mine on here, a george bush political thing with a violet hill lyric that i think chris would like. my second is going to be butterfly-filled with another lyric on it (yet to be decided). i'm a bit iffy on what i'm actually going to WRITE, since i want it to be as original as possible and not mushy and generic, but i'm having issues. i started to write things that i might like to say and it was really sappy and bleh. i have to think more.

karen, we're all pulling for you on the board! you're a strong, wonderful, funny person, and with a little chris love we hope things will all pull through in the end :D when my imageshack decides to work, i'll spam up this thread with chris love for you! and i've been planning to send you butterflies from my concerts all along :wink: -chelsea :heart:

i told my brother that coldplay was playing SNL next week and he FREAKED :dance: i asked him what songs he thought they would play (i bet its VLV and lost!), he said in my place :lol:. he loves that song.

haha, its quite nice, i have to say, though a lot of times ann taylor is a bit too upscale for what i'm looking for :P

i finally found a trenchcoat AND boots that i love :nice:. and they're both from my mom's store, so i get a discount :D the coat is brown, but i don't like the brown boots nearly as much as the black ones, so i'm just going to go with the black boots. i have more that would go with them anyway.

i think it's one thing to joke about it yourself, another when someone else brings it up, but that's just me. we'll never know, anyway :P

^postcards don't go in envelopes. this is what a postcard looks like: you just drop the whole thing in the mail without an envelope! that's what makes it cheap :D

i don't know, i wonder if it was just a lighthearted thing. that's something a lot of people would take offense to, and we know chris isn't the most secure of people sometimes. i don't think this is one of those times that he says something to "play" with the press, like when he said they sit around sewing their jackets or the sleeping pill thing. but BLERGH.

i think she might have been treating, actually :lol: we were talking about me being a nanny in holland this past summer. oh MAN, maybe if i had stayed asleep longer, she would have invited me to become apple and moses's nanny! :stunned: :lol: i got some killer boots in the dream, much like the ones gwyneth has been wearing recently. and whenever i "buy" something in a dream, i tend to believe i actually own whatever it is when i wake up, so in my early-morning stupor, i was looking for my boots :rolleyes:

i had a dream last night that i went on a shopping spree with gwyneth :lol:

ahh, i figured as much. let's just hope she actually put in the request for a PO box :uhoh:. if she hasn't done that yet, then we're screwed.

my roommate was watching ugly betty, and all of a sudden i gasped because they started playing "lost!" :dance: it really makes the song sound even better when you come across coldplay in an unexpected place :nice:

i was going to be sarah palin, but it's too much money and effort. plus i'd have no idea how to get my hair that poofy. i probably won't be anything, but i do have all the makings for being chris martin :rolleyes: not that anyone would get it anyway.

oooh, i like them both, but especially the circuit boards! i don't *need* new chucks, but i want them.

mine came today! :dance: i loooove them. i do wish there was some more color variety, since four of the ten are red/white/black, but they're wonderful :nice: i'm probably going to end up ordering more, i know it :rolleyes:

when it's a contest involving photoshop, semy will always kick some serious ass :D

i think her being an actress makes her more inclined to put up with the paps. i bet she hates being photographed, but understands that it's part of the career path she's chosen and can pretend like she's igoring them better. i think chris is less happy to deal with them because the fame/celebrity thing was more thrust on him, he has a more explosive personality when he's upset, etc etc.

my old math teacher had a darth tater :nice: apple and her blankie makes me go "aww" too :P

i have to say, i'd love to know whether the kids have british accents or not :P i bet they have slight ones, like hybrid american/british ones :lol:

^ visit www.coldplaying.com/postcards for all the rules and guidelines ;) and the project is for POSTCARDS, generally, rather than letters. you can always send a full letter to the fanmail address, but this project is about short notes of thanks on a postcard. we're doing postcards because of the reference to the song, and because everyone will have the same amount of space (more or less) to write what they want to say so that everyone appears equal and so that the boys have time to read them all. please send your letter to the official fanmail address, though! :D

no, definitely not a problem if it's only slightly bigger, especially if you bought the postcard. that's just a general size guideline anyway, but don't worry :D

oooh, thanks for all the knebworth info everyone! IF THEY BOOK A DATE THERE NEXT SEPTEMBER, I WILL BE THERE. i think that's a bit too slim a chance to count on, them booking it THAT late in the year, but i have my fingers crossed for a weekend in september 2009! :cheesy:

i bet jay z didn't even record that in the same COUNTRY as coldplay. i bet he heard the track and then recorded that verse and mailed it to london :thinking: and maybe it's because i'm american, but what's all this knebworth stuff? i'm lost (no pun intended :P)
