ohhh, i'm already completely insane :freak: the amount of time i spend stalking goes up exponentially with each new bit of news that's let out. that's kind of unfortunate, because i'm getting closer and closer to exam time here. how much do you want to BET that we'll get the song the night before my astronomy and astrophysics exam? :dozey: then i'm not going to be able to concentrate on the exam or put full attention on the song either. ohmygosh, so close. back in december, i almost never thought we'd get to this point! i BETTER survive until june 17, at least! :P

i agree! it makes soooo much more sense. we've just got to be different, haven't we :dozey: i have to say that if we did switch, though, i'd be really thrown off. when you guys say it's 30 degrees or something (which i think is pretty warm), i can't help but think that's a below freezing temperature, because it is in degrees F. somehow that's one thing i have a very hard time wrapping my thinking around. when i'm over there i'm going to need a pocket converter or something.

ditto. i'm going to need one if those emergency defibulators around me at all times. i know there's one in the library...maybe i can go jack that one! :lol: i'm also keeping headphones by my computer at all times. none of this OMG, THEY'RE IN MY SCHOOLBAG ACROSS THE ROOM stuff, because i know i'll knock myself out trying to reach them in my fervor to hear the song. or break a toe or something...i have experience with running into things when i'm excited. ohmygoodness. yesterday i thought i reached the epitome of my excitement about the album because i was listening to coldplay out on the lawn and it felt like summer and i remembered summer 2005...but now with news about a single VERY SOON, i think i've surpassed that feeling.

19th april?!!? erm, if we're going on a similar timeline to the one for X&Y, i would think that it would get airplay like, NEXT WEEK. because VLV is being released about three years and 10 days after X&Y was, so if the timeline is similar, the single should be out in very late may/very early june, meaning that the airplay should be...SOON! like, VERY SOON. i'm going insane.

^aw, i don't think it's like that in america...could be wrong, though; i don't really listen to radio. can yall get your tape recorders or whatever it is ready?! well, i'm sure there will be SOME way to hear it once it gets on radio besides just catching it, right?

i had a radiohead dream last night, but no coldplay dream in a while :sad: that'll probably change when all the release dates come closer! but while looking through all the glasto 2002 footage today, i realized that the version of "clocks" that they did was my FIRST coldplay experience ever. back in 2002, "clocks" was all over the radio and TV, and it had three separate videos circulated on VH1 all the time: the real promo vid, the storytellers version, and then this other live one that had the big green laser that they do during that song. i distinctly remember 12-year-old me catching my mom watching it on VH1 and thinking "hmm, good song. that skinny guy with hardly any hair moves strangely." i think it was the first time i'd ever heard it or anything. and in the coming months every time i saw one of the three videos on TV, i distinctly remember thinking "my GOD, how many videos does this song HAVE?!" so today i learned that it was the GLASTO 2002 performance that was on TV all the time...so that was my first real coldplay experience, i think (well, not really. i'd seen "yellow" many times before, but didn't realize until may 2005 that it was made by the same guys that did "clocks") so there's my thrilling story :dozey:

ahh, well at least two people have cheated, then, since the announcement, because when i posted my post about 42 people voting for "42," there were only 9 people that had voted for violet hill!! CHEATERS!! :lol:

may is so soon! even the end of may is soon!! oh, i'm so excited i just want to dance...new coldplay material!! i've been trying and trying to imagine what the new stuff will sound like, and i just can't because i don't have a musical mind, but i can't wait until i don't have to imagine anymore! but guess where i was when this news broke? the cafeteria, where i ALWAYS am when important coldplay news happens :dozey: (well, either there or watching TV to get away from CPing for a night)

i've been watching coldplay at glastonbury 2002 videos on youtube all day, which i'd never really explored fully before, and i'm completely blown away. that performance was completely AMAZING. i really should have looked into it before, i'm kicking myself now, but goodness, it's INCREDIBLE. i particularly like this one (but i love them all): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIOdxcO1xI0 i think it's cute that chris's brother lost his job to come see him at glasto :nice: and at the end, guy comes over and wraps chris in a hug, which i find really adorable!

iron freaking lung for the millionth time. and i will personally throw large, blunt objects at whoever votes high and dry (*ahem* JUSTIN...:evil:) i like street spirit quite a lot, yes, but i'll vote that out before i vote high and dry out. i have to say that i think it's slightly overrated in light of other songs. that's just me though.

dude! i want to go into a store that has that many pringles!! goodness, i'd be in heaven. aww, no, semy's not the root of problems, is it? i can't say that chelsea's ever been a problem, but some of the nicknames get interesting to explain :P i'm thinking of buying sour cream and onion ones tomorrow in addition to the given original flavor. i actually really want some now, but i ate WAAAY too much pasta and ice cream today, so i think it would be a mistake to eat anything else tonight.

i like semy! i don't know, i have a thing for original names, and that's not one you come across much. and i like my name more now than i used to, but i never really felt like a chelsea, i don't know :P smell is actually short for "chelster the smellster" :rolleyes:. but most of the time that i pick up the phone and it's one of my 3 friends (where the name originally came from), they just bellow "smeeeeeeeeeellll" into the phone :laugh1: anyway...MMMM, PRINGLES!!

well, my most frequently used and best-known nickname is "smell." long story there, but it was so well known that some of my teachers started referring to me as "smell" on occasion as well. the odd part is that i don't mind it. fish girl, yes. one of my friends here is fascinated by my fear, so i've been called that a fair number of times. i suppose i kind of like nicknames, when i think about it. i've never really liked my real name anyway! :laugh4:

really? yaaaay!! :dance: (i can't get enough of the :dance: smiley, but this is deserving) haha, pringle girl. well i made that one up, i haven't actually been called that (yet), but i've been called things like "beatle girl," "coldplay girl," "make trade fair girl" and "fish girl" :dozey: oh goodness, i have a huge backlog of nicknames, i've just realized... NOOOO! you can't like pringles TOO MUCH!! impossible.

^ohhhhh, that would explain a lot! you always have weather like that! (well not always, of course, but much better than in frosty CT where i'm from!) i'm just surprised it's 80 in central PA! (or was...now it's like 55 because it's 10PM)

^where are you located, exactly, melanie? yeah, it's still pretty cool at night, but warm enough to keep the window open and have a nice breeze and be able to sleep in shorts. somehow i sleep better on those nights, which is kind of a rareity for me. luckily we have AC in my dorm too, so i don't think it'll get too bad.
