  1. Have fun! We'll miss you!
  2. Positive: Everyone knows them Negative: Everyone knows them Negative: The kids who want 'indie cred' constantly bash them
  3. He died?! :stunned: Oh no! RIP
  4. Thank GOD this is just a joke. And McCain's ad comparing Obama to a celebrity was a little tastless, I think. Comparing him to Paris when the Hiltons gave money towards his campaign? That's a spit in the face.
  5. I think Coldplay deserve their success. It's different for them because they used to be a small band that no one knew about. And even though Chirs is married to Gwyneth Paltrow they established themselves as a great band way before him and Gwyn got together. Miley's dad was/is a famous singer so she had a leg-up in hollywood. She's one of those people that came out of nowhere and became famous because of their connections. [i.e. Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie]
  6. I agree! I also thought it was shocking when the prisoner took the remote...and threw it out the window! :o I did not expect that. And when Batman went after Harvey Dent and not Rachel? Wooow. For me the most shocking/fucked up scene ever is the ending of The Mist. Oh God. The man kills his son, his potential girlfriend, and two elderly people to put them out of their misery, runs outside so he can get eaten by the creatures in the mist, and the mist clears up and the army drives by with a truckload of refugees. :dozey: The ending of 'The Others' In the remake of 'The Omen' the dad is having a nightmare and you see this satanic look preist looking straight into the camera grinning while dropping a bloody newborn in a grave. *EDIT* I found the ending to The Mist! Don't watch or read my post if you plan on seeing it. :P It's pretty good. Traumatic, maybe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7lAAXroWeQ
  7. The only thing stopping me from watching this show is the previews. They look so cheesy. :dozey: But is it really good? I'm interested on what she's going to do with the baby.
  8. Hmm. I think so but I never really got how to make one?
  9. If you're in a time crunch I suggest "Tuck Everlasting." It's about a girl who finds an immortal family. It's only 100 pages but it's really good. For me I love reading books that were made into movies so I can compare the two. I'm half-way through Forrest Gump [Winston Groom] and I read Carrie [stephen King :stunned:] Oh! And I recommend "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides! I haven't finished yet but it's really interesting. It's about this hermaphrodite. She decides to live as a man in her late 20s and he narrates from the very beginning. How can I make that more clear...eh... It starts with his grandparents and gradually the book becomes more about him.
  10. August 21st is my first day. :uhoh2: I haven't finished the summer reading. *edit* I've been going to bed at 6am for most of the summer and now I have to wake up at 6. Yikes.
  11. White shirt and pink pajama bottoms.
  12. I had Speed of Sound on my old phone. But now I'm not allowed to buy ringtones. :(
  13. Thank you, Carla! OH, I love you darling! Good Lord, the man is FIT! He doesn't even look like he's breaking a sweat! :sweatdrop:
  14. Good Lord. :freak: You would HAVE to put that damn cat on a diet, how could you afford to keep feeding it like that?
  15. Although I love my iPod Touch, I have to agree. I miss my Classic. :( iPods seem to be more trouble than they're worth, they don't last long and mine freezes all the time. And don't get me started on the pain in the ass that is iTunes. :dozey:
  16. Happy Birthday! :nice:
  17. OoOOOoh, I can't wait to see this with my friend. Sometime this week, hopefully. :D

  19. Happy belated, Emilyyyy! :cheesy:
  20. Compared to myspace, which is worth 344.15 million USD. Well, this place has more substance. :nice: :P
  21. I was wondering when they would start playing at least one of them on tv. I'm never going to see it :dozey: On tv, that is.
  22. Hey, the same age as me! :D He looked like the kind of person I would hang out with, seriously. I have some ...eccentric friends. :P
  23. Because supposedly Coldplay's fanbase is mostly women. They seem to appeal to the sensitive/thoughtful side of people. But seriously, that joke's kind of disrespectful to both gay and straight people. Music isn't supposed to have a color/gender/sexuality. It's supposed to be enjoyed by everyone. :nice:
  24. Exactly. MTV only has a full solid block of music at like 6 in the morning, and they don't even play anything good. So I won't be surprised if Coldplay doesn't win, I don't even care. They won't be there, do you think?
